Would this idea work for next grow ?

I have been thinking about my next grow and how to make improvements and some adjustments over last one. Currently I am using a 600w cooltube in my 4x5x8 grow closet. In this space there are two quite large and good yielding plants. Possibly the best I have grown in my years as a cultivator of herb.

As always , we as growers are constantly looking for better ways to optimize our space and resources. In effect, to push the plants to their full potential. I want to throw out an idea I have for a grow setup and see if it has been done before. With major emphasis on space usage and yields compared to the usual untrained style.

Next, top plants to keep at approx 3 feet or under at end of 12/12. Then use plant cage or similar to contain and train the topped branches around the structure of the cage. Nothing will go over the maximum top of the cage . The goal is to keep all plants at same height and also maximise light exposure to as much of the plants as possible. If you can imagine a grow with say 4 plants, all branches evenly contained in the plant cage and given as much light as is possible.

Can this work and would it benefit me to consider this option as a means of optimizing space usage as well as future yields going forward. I will be growing WW and NL as I have done for the past few years .

Any feedback would be great to hear

You could add a light and keep everything else the same and probably get more yield. I am a fan of vertical lighting. You can get more yield from putting lights along the side of the plants instead of above them. What you are describing sounds like scrog. I think Stadium of green is better.
