Would this look suspicious....?

Me and my friend are planning on renting a weekend house for the whole duration of our grow op, (lasting anywhere from 3-6 months).

We will visit the place at least 3-4 times a week, maybe even more if we get the chance, seeing as it is 1 hour outside the city.

If we run, let's say four 600w or four 1000w lamps, +all the rest of the equipment, would this look suspicious?

I mean as long as we pay our bills and everything, why would anyone bother to check our electrical activity? We could just say we're running servers in the worst case or something....

Thanks

if its a weekend rental then the power will be in someone elses name and they might pick up on the red flag
No well.. It's going to be a normal house I guess that we will rent for "weekend purposes" - that's it. We'll need a good cover story anyway... That's why I'm asking here!

Haha - that's not so bad actually - the whole wife story. Problem is I don't look that old! lol

Gay couple... hmm yea I don't see that coming by ok... You can't really just say "Hi, we're a closet gay couple and we want to rent your house to throw orgies and fuck around without anyone knowing - you cool with that?" lol

well 1 thing to think about is what happens when the landlord wonders why the electricity bill is so high when they are very seldom here? Sounds kinda risky imo

Yo put a deadbolt on your grow room door. Say you rent that to your friend.
Pretend like you live there. The car you meet your landlord in should be the car that is parked there. Buy a dog aswell. The landlord wont want to come inside if a dog is in there. Goodluck!

Well we found a small house in a village in bumfuck nowhere. Haven't contacted the landlord yet, so no idea how he is.

You can just never know it they're the nosy type until it's too late I think.

landlords only have to give you notice if they plan on entering the house whether your there or not.

they can stop by at any time they wish and take a look at the place.

and if they 'visit' and you don't want to let them inside, consider it the notice they plan on coming back and taking a look around inside.

Yea well that's another problem with renting a warehouse - good luck explaining the fucking electricity bill for "storing" stuff!

The usual formula is 1000W per bedroom, however if you're not going to be actually doing much besides growing you can probably double that and be fine. Basically $100 a month per bedroom on your bill is high, but not insane.

it is not supposed to be easy for people to grow illegally... your best bet is to move in and give yourself 2 months before starting the grow... it would be best if you had someone who's name was not on the lease to live there, just to answer the phone and door ect also to figure out the patterns of local traffic before starting the grow... once finished, make sure to leave it clean very very clean... i'm not saying wipe for prints or anything, but no holes ect, that way there is no reason for the leo's or landlord to get wise to what's happening... if you're gonna do it for 6 mo, why not 1 year? more grows and more potential profit... just saying, if you find yourself in a good situation, keep it... good luck!
