would this work light question

I plan on having 2 mothers under a 40w four foot flor one cool white bulb and one warm white. I also plan on having a second 40w four foot flor with one cool white and on warm light next to it for 2 clones. I have read alot about lights and different options. This would just be for keeping mothers and 2 clones veg only. I have a 400w HPS for flowering. There are onlygonna be a few plants s this enough light for veg?

that will be fine for the mothers

That's is not enough light. Your plant will begin to droop & maybe wither a bit from insufficient lighting. The plants immune system will weaken. The point of having a mother plant is to be able to cut real healthy clones off a real healthy mother plant

since I have my HPS for flowering and if I only want 2 mothers and 2 clones what other lights should I use besides the 2 four foot flor with a total of 4 tubes in a row not side by side

Use ugh output florescent tubes & use a couple more 6500k floros inside your mother box. You don't wana have weak clones or cuttings go under a strong hps system. You risk heat stress. you want to have a plant use to alot of light so it has a healthy way of going through the photosynthesis process
