guess l could canvas every neighbour, then the few that dont alredy know can rip me off too. Lol!
It was off top of head, just going to keep inside. Was thinking it would improve situation. And next time lm going to think it through longer before opening my yap. Thank youOn offense, but I feel like you're really leaning into the hemp pollen as justification. You didn't mention it at all in the original post.
Also may have assumed other outdoor growers have had same problem, l cull males, most others too l assume. If not parent should be ok. Never had that so far. Seed always hemp father. Or just shitty genetics. It was off top of head, just going to keep inside. Was thinking it would improve situation. And next time lm going to think it through longer before opening my yap. Thank you
Hes miles away, pollen can travel some say 10k id say 100s or 1000s depending on updraft. Nobody safe outdood. Watch this season, it will be something to remember. So many companies with billions invested. Only indoor will profit. Outdoor is going to take a hit, l live xact center of city, every farm is furthest from me, but surround area. Feminized hemp seed is the only way to go. For future outdoor.with it being legal to grow now in the us, there should be a femed hemp only growing law, if only the seeds wernt of so much value as cattle feed or whatever they use them for, but im sure they could get away with the growing of seed where it doesnt matter. there has to be something they can do. seems stupid having a farm of medical marijuana and a hemp field so close, its just messed up
If you start with cannabis females you'll still get the same bud but less of it and less potent. When plants get heavily seeded they out their energy into making every seed they can and everything else gets half the attention. Even if seeded by hemp it doesn't turn the bud into hemp.So my conclusion is, let hemp do my girls again. Shit seed fucken up good genetics. Instead of being able to use them, ill make a tea for my girls. About all they will be good for. Fucken confusing veiws but l conceed.
But the eggs are worthless! If growing eggs loses across board, seeds should at least be good seed imo. Tired of useless robbing hemp pollen. Is all. I just want my area to have good genetics from male if hit. And l always get at least a few pollinated. Never grew male past showing sex. Until now. Will just do indoor crop, colodialed a sour d bud got 13 out of 13. Hopefully all fem. Not sure how it works first timer. Always bought fem, given regs of thug pugs so good father. Baptise girls in fire, lol.If you start with cannabis females you'll still get the same bud but less of it and less potent. Get the old record album out and find a business card or rolling paper pack flap to roll them seeds out before smoking. I had some plants like that a while ago and it sure took me back. Buy a brick and half the weight was stems and seeds. Ain't got the buzz this old head needs.
I was looking into hemp seed for farming a while back and it looks like most of it for farmers is feminized. Like us they don't want too many boys but need some or no seeds which is a big part of their crop.Hes miles away, pollen can travel some say 10k id say 100s or 1000s depending on updraft. You are aay north, crossed an auto ww with hash plant and pink unknown, seeds started flower July 1st. Every one within days, too bad only liked for hash. Would be good for furthed north, maybe pollinate with these males will make better. Auto advertised as 26% thc. Didnt help. Big buds just not up to par. Took 5 summers, but had fun trying. Pollen all from bag not plant. Have always been careful, but its getting old quick.I'd be pissed. I have been pollen chucking for 20 years and very fussy about the parentage of my seeds. I don't care what the asshole next door is growing but unless it's arranged that I want to get all my plants loaded with seeds from some bastard male I'd be either hacking that f'er down or poisoning it.
With hemp farming a growing business up here in the Great White North I'm worried some d-bag is going to plant a quarter section of hemp somewhere upwind of me. Clouds of pollen can travel for over 100 miles.
Last year I ended up with two outdoor plants in the ground that were supposed to be fem autos but grew as regulars. As I'm at 56N they didn't start flowering until mid-Aug and one grew balls. I chopped off a few branches to put in a glass of water inside to get it's pollen but chopped the rest of it down right away. Big sucker too but the female finished up seedless and have a plant from one of her branches inside as I need autos for outdoors here.
I vote to keep your pollen to your damn self!
Property rights are only valid when you contain whatever to your own property. If there is a stream cutting through my land and I dump a bunch of garbage into it, the garbage floats downstream and affects other's property.I'm mixed on the issue. I understand the frustration some might have with stray pollen seeding their plants. If I was growing female plants outside and ended up getting a bunch of seeds from unknown pollen It would be a disappointment. On the other hand what someone does on their property is their business. I believe in property rights. If you have a neighbor growing outside that's making seeds and you get pollinated that's just the way it goes.
Here in Oregon it's a big deal because many outdoor cannabis growers are in close proximity to hemp farms.
How Hemp Is Moving Oregon Marijuana To An Indoor Grow Crop
The popularity of hemp-derived CBD and the saturation of Oregon marijuana is causing farmers there to grow hemp, instead. Bringing the threat of cross-pollination to cannabis plants along with it.www.forbes.com
