Hi folks, im new here and am just finishing my first veg room.
I have someone teaching me locally who is respected and a good dude, however.

He uses hps and i really want to use l.e.d. if i can.

Would someone recommend a proven led light that isnt junk.

I cannot use the search option, for some reason my computer restarts after all kinds or strange gyrations.

LED are great for vegging, but during flowering HPS/CMH is the way to go. However, some LEDS can go on par with some HPS, but, there's happens to be a problem with that though. They tend to cost some extra $$$. That being said, I doing an LED grow atm. They are blackstar UFOs and looking pretty great for me.

I figured since im coming out of the box with this whole thing i may as well decide if i want to spend my money on ac or led lights.
Eventually i want to be moving some product

The reason guys flower with HPS is because it works really nice. This is an opinion man. If you are a long term grower, get a long term light.

So you like the hps?
I dont really have a dog in the fight yet, from what ive read some led's are hanging in there just as good? Then again, i really dont know.

LED are still working out kinks. There is a reason they always compare their LED to HID. HID is the standard. LED is most likely the future but not quite yet.

...you may end up needing AC even with the LED to create them nice purple hues on some varieties, so id say just get AC and HPS
