I thought that too. I might just trip myself, in hopes that this demon beast would rather have the meat from a fit competitor, than a helpless fawn. Probably it would just eat the weak and move on to real game.

I'd be too busy running away to worry about tripping my friend... but I can honestly say I probably wouldn't turn back for 90% of the people i've been "friends" with in my lifetime if they fell down during the chase.... a select few i'd take the chance depending on the situation. I always feel like its better to have someone than be completely alone in any situation, especially being chased. Who knows, you might need that person to distract the monster next while you run off
