i would avoid drilling your own holes because it smacks of a voided warrenty, unless the warrenty makes a distinction between the tv and the stand/mounts. best advice i can give you is to be calm when talking to the store. 11 dollar an hour clerks will not respond well, and contrary to popular belief, you will not "have their job" and may end up getting banned from the store. then you'll really have some holes in your wall. play it calm and lay a subtle guilt trip.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and helping me calm down... I was totally off my fucking rocker yesterday... Idk.. I don't normally get that angry but something clicked in my brain when my $2000 TV didn't work and I went fucking bezerk.

Anyway I went to the store RIGHT at it's open (9:00am) on the dot... and I demanded to see the manager... We had a chat... and I pretty much told him there was two ways I was leaving the store and that was with a new TV stand for my TV, or dragged out by the cops.. Long story short, (after an argument) he ended up opening a new TV and giving me the stand out of the box... and whatd'ya know... not crooked at all.... I'm typing this message on my big ass TV right now!

thanks ya'll

keep it green

I just wanna play PS3 in full 1080P high def for once!
Never owned an HDTV before... sold quite a few... and all my bros have one.

My girlfriend and I mostly just watch T.V anyway after we both get home from work... hit the bong and relax and watch some shows... We usually watch TV on the computer though.... and we were excited to have a HUGE computer/tv screen :finger:

Hopefully tomorrow or I'm whippin out the AK and rat-a-tat-tat bitches
This big enough? 60" and save $600:

is the tv actually not perpendicular to the ground, or is just swiveled so it is not in the same direction as the stand?

You all should check your state statues for what is called an implied warranty. Not all states have one, in fact I believe most do not. Maine has one though. What it basically means is, you do not need those ripoff extended warranties that they try to sell you on everything you buy. Implied warranty means that whatever it is, it should last "as long as an item of that nature should last". Up to interpretation certainly, but for most durable items this would be measured in years. Also, under this law it is clearly stated that the retailer is as responsible to make it right as the manufacturer is.
Check and see if your state has it. Most people I mention it to never even heard of it, especially retailers lol

Oh, and there is one exception to this law spelled out: a used car sold "as is".
