Ya u can cut the extra off just do it to the female side of the poles . That's a bummer man but a little redneck fabrication and you will be growing in no time . It's gonna make for a little bit of loose fit but it will work .

thanks for the fast reply trouble. rather a loose fit then getting whole new tent. another question while i got you do you think a 6in fan at 450cfm will be good enough for this tent with a 600watt cool tube hps the room it will be in is normally 72-78 degrees during the time the lights will be on

Return the tent and get the proper size. You cut that, and you'll end up with a sagging mess. You really want to deal with that for months and months of growing?

@lord i cant find a tent thats under 6.5 besides the ones that are3x3x6 really didnt want to go that route. ive google it been on ebay and everything. the only options i seem to have is cut it or build one which i was very close to doing.

dont listen to this idiot, build the frame outside and cut 5 inches off at the feet end and then build it in your room, and at the bottom just let the tent hang loose where it is too long, give at a neat little fold. do not cut any material.

or.... if you know which sections are the bottom of the legs then just cut 5 inches off.

who gives a fuck what your tent looks like, your not building it to exhibit the fucking thing in an art gallery.

performance is king.

you will definitely need a fan speed controller for the 6" fan....so get one.

Just lay the tent on its side, you'll have 6.5' wide by 5' tall to grow! Keep your plants short but busy! lol Just another option.

How many pkants how tallu wanna grow??
Onlt reason i ask is I had the same prob, bought a 4x4x7 and it fit in my room fine until i moved then my fan would hit the ceiling fan and be all janky looking. So i just flipped my tent on its side so its 7Lx4wx4h. So i have more coverage space with less height. Works for me cause i wanna keep my plants fairlyshort for the perpetual grow in working on.
Good luckbrotha

you would think they would have thought to make adjustable tents by now for reasons such as this
LOL, people who buy furniture and don't measure the area it's going to be in first?

I once knew someone who bought an RV to park in their 7' garage

Even IKEA shoppers measure first.

Put the tent on it's side. Build a wooden platform with a sub floor to lay it on, one that will end up fitting your height perfectly. Then cut holes in the tent and the sub floor to fit pots or a flood table. Or you could just us it for storage, fans, duct work, power etc.

You get to keep everything without losing structural integrity.

use a grolux hps 600w dual spectrum lamp, your plants will be short and stumpy with a max height of 4 feet and an average height of 3 to 3 and a half.
the grolux dual spectrum has more blue in it than red to stop plant stretch.
perfect for your tent.
