So should I dress the top of the soil with the lime? Will that do it? Like maybe a tbs worth? I use 2 gallon pots.
How did the PH get so low. I want to try to prevent it from happening again

All you can do is top dress it, just remember the dead or damaged leaves will not recover!
just watch the new growth for signs. Keep checking the run off till it starts to raise up from
5.5

Next time dont use ffof soil or ff nutes, if you want smooth trouble free! Get botanicair ready grow and technoflora bc nutes

Yeah I was gonna say the same as HR the ph of ur runoff was way too low for using 6.8 water and it comes out 5.5 that would mean ur soil is pretty acidic, I think I'm havin a similar issue but I don't have a ph tester, I just added a lil dolomite as a top dressing. Just curious what makes u say the FF stuff is so crappy hellrazer? I mean I know it needs some amendments b4 u grow, I think the main problem with their soil from what I've heard from others is their ph can sometimes be all over the place its not consistent enuf, and they go a lil light on the calcium. And u were sayin not to use molasses when he waters his plants but I thought molasses was sumptin organic growers use during bloom to add PK.

hr, any idea of a good mox of soil/lime?
I always used 1 tbs/gallon. However, I recently read 1oz/gallon.
Also, I have Botanicare's proGrow and proBloom. Should I try switching to that instead?

If you took a soil ph probe and stuck it in 10 bags of ffof soil you would see huge differences in ph all being
to low. Ff products have fallen off inthe last few years, so i dont advise the use of it.

Dont change nutes yet! Try to correct this with the lime, normally use 1tbs per gallon but due to being so low
i would add 2tbs per gallon

K. Yeah I wasn't gonna swap nutes on this plant, I mean in the future.
Hopefully the lime will fix it in the near future.
What soil you think I should try? Heading to the hydro store in a couple days, and I need more soil anyway.

I've had this happen a couple times to me, but I've been lucky enough to catch it before it spreads.....( for me it was nute lockout ) I've been told by a lot of people on RIU that ph-ing your water isn't necessary in soil grows but I always do too, well first I boil then set over night, then ph to around 6.0, my runoff is usually 5.8, but what I haven't seen anyone on this thread mention is different strains prefer different ph's- some more acidic some more alkaline, like my sinsi star likes a ph of 5.8-6.2, where as my amnesia likes around a 6.5-6.8, so I'm not sure but for me, when I've gotten nute lock, I've flushes with distilled water then cut nutes off for a week......hope this helps if nothing else works

:leaf: HAPPY GROWING :joint::peace:

Guys, I just noticed that all of the newer growth has only 3 blades to each leaf. LOL. Maybe i just have some mutant. All the leaves look like chicken feet.

Hellraizer, I have a quick Q for ya. If my runoff continues to stay low, can't I just raise the PH of the water I'm using, so it comes out higher?
Or will that not do the trick?
I'm honestly thinking of transplanting into a new soil. this ffof sucks right now. One of the real young plants are affected too.

I think what you have is a new marijuana virus created by the Government that will spread to all grows and destroy them. The virus is airborne and spreads by infecting other plants, multiplying and then releasing spores. It does not harm any other plant but marijuana..... and unfortunately this is what has happened to you :(
