I started these Med-Man Headband seeds June 12, 2013 under florescent lighting

July 17 they went under 18/6 of 400W MH and just do not want to grow??

I am doing everything the way I normally do, Pro mix (new bag) 20/20/20 and vitamin B

Thoughts??
 
I dunno for sure but it may be too much too soon. In the past I have found that allowing my plants to remain under the flouros with almost no food until they fill the cup with roots always gave me better results. The only thing I can see that doesn't add up is a small root system . They aren't going to need that kind of food and light yet; they cant use it. I may be wrong but then again those girls may just like a different kind of attention/setup/grow style..The mix is great and seems rich, maybe like too much icing on a cake.
 
Agreed with Hidden...At this stage they should have had one feeding 1/4 strength nutes. With one feed of nutes in promix you should be able to take them pretty big before they start to starve. Shut the feeding down, raise the light and be patient, hopefully they will remember what they were supposed to do. Good Luck

Exactly. No point giving them the MH if they haven't even developed enough leaf's to photosynthesized
 
Let me ask a stupid question please? How many drain holes to you have in those cups? From the pic the bottom looks so much wetter than the the top, if your bottoms are staying too wet your roots aren't going to want to grow.
 
Yeah, fluoro does plants very well in the early stage.

I'm wondering what the root system looks like... THey look stunted..
 
Good question about the drainage. From the pic the soil looks kind of dry. Having holes in the bottom of the cup ensures that I cant overwater and allows me to make sure my seedlings soil will never dry out. I have grown for years exactly the way you are now and another problem I have had has been tap water minerals building up in the cups. When minerals build up in my seedlings it can take forever to see them progress. I get rid of them anymore.

Two hole at the bottom of each cup

I watered them just before I took the photo's

I have started some royal queen seeds just in case these do not take off?

I have never had this happen before?

looks like an N abundance severely stunted all the plants growth. everyone here is saying that it looks like you overfed~ tap water has enough nutrient in it to grow a teeny seedling, If using inert medium yes maybe do a 1/8dose or 1/4dose nutrient once, but let them take off a little before you start nuting, huge mistake. Also like people are saying you may want to make sure your mix is on par~ try copying someone elses mix, i know some people like a promix/coco/perlite . The roots may be getting too much or too little air in just promix.

Bro I cant believe these midgets are 3 months old, fuck! The pots have to dry until light to lift, more airflow .
 
Lack of N doesn't seem to be the problem as the leaf's are dark green. not light green. The root's look too small... When are you watering them and how much??
