Its Nute Burn for sure dude, try cutting down your nutes with plain water , or just run normal water for a few days and see it its helps.

Wouldn't it also be safe to say that a 1000w lamp for any plants that size is not a good fit? Especially considering how sickly they are atm. Hope you have better luck with them, take care!

There's no way a 1k watt light is doing that to the plants , that's not Heat burn its Nute burn, heat burn makes then hard and crunchy like your about to smoke it, Nute burn will yellow your leaves. Flat out!!

looks deficient in nitrogen and magnesium to me. use a light solution of a liquid fertilizer and slowly increase dosage. i use Jack's 20-20-20, but there are many good ones available. how can u tell when the soil is dry with all the square pieces on top of it? GL

I think he actually just used loose rockwool cube as a medium and there is no soil underneath them. I've never seem someone do that before I'd imagine you'd have to be pretty careful with the nutes and watering like that. That's why I love my drip systems it's so easy and straight foward with them you should consider some sort of hydro system 2puck91. I know how to setup drip totes fairly easily and cheaply if you ever want some advice you can ask me.

But to the main point it's definetly not light burn it's a nute deficency and looks to be too little N from the picks. 1000w won't hurt but you're definetely wasting electricity at this stage. Do you have a 400w H.I.D. you can use or maybe some cfls?

Unsoaked unconditioned rockwool has wild pH swings from what I have read. I don't use it as a medium myself.

I just reread the OP and saw the part where he said he didn't presoak them and yeah that's not a good idea. I only use rockwool to start seedlings in and only after they soak in PH 5.0 water overnight. I use hydroton in my drip systems and it's been working great for years and it's reusable unlike rockwool. Just pop it in the oven at 500F for a couple hours and then rinse it off and it's good as new.

If that were true it'd mainly be affecting the new growth that's where nute burn shows up. The extreme yellowing and nute drained look of the bottom leaves is indicative of a nute deficency or lockout.

If it was nute burn it'd be showing up on top first and be worse in the new growth. The pics show the opposite with the bottom leaves yellowing and appearing drained of nutes. The problem here is nute deficency caused by too little nutes or most likely PH lockout from the unconditioned rockwool cubes he used as a medium.
