Sorry for being MIA, there sjust this thing called life, growing up, reality, stress, blah blah blah, but the point is im here to finally give an update. Despite PH issues and other bs I fought through the stress and the procrastination of actually making this update. I would just have to say that extra branch per node characteristic I mentioned in a post a few months ago really stands out now that she is more mature, The pictures dont do it justice but it has side branches like a mofo. the lesser stalk doesnt seem to be hindering the growth much at all as its relatively the same size as all my other seeds started at the same time, with the exception of LA chocolope and sourdiesel which are just two massive stalks overlooking everything else in my garden. Like i said the pictures really dont do this girl justice with this crazy side branching, I just am worried that after I come back from burning man which is when I plan to begin my 12/12 that I will lose this genetic marvel... sure I could take a cutting but i really dont have a seperate space for a mother to grow 16/8 at the same time as my 12/12 its just one room:/ I do have a male BAY11 in my backyard which I plane to use the pollen to cross with my "original sour diesel" as i feel the superior strain of sour diesel woul be a perfect combo for the strong sativa Bay11, a super sativa strain possibility with those genetics IMO and then if i did use the paper bag method on he darkstar aswell, there would be no guarantee i would get that side branching pheneotype again.. Comments, questions,, flames?? anyone?
Heres my DarkStar clone I took off a friends plant! It just rooted a week or so ago. I transplanted it into this smaller pot just till it gets good and built. its a bit of a slow starter compared to my other moms. But I never turn down free genetics! Everythings worth a try in my book, If it don't make the cut I just cut the mom or pass it along and run my tryd and true moms! I got this and a afghan kush special from the same guy, The kush is moving Right along compared to this one.The genetics spark interest in me being purple kush/mazar a good Jamaican strain. But from all the grow report I have read I am kinda get dis-illusioned on it some. But I will test it for myself before I write it off!!!! I plan to top it and get about 4 good heads on it, But judging by how slow its growing I am wondering if just letting it grow strait up with maybe a little lst would be the better route... But goodluck on your grow man keep us updated! we can bounce feed off eachother on the strain!
