WTF Needs Help Hydro Res/Root Mold

ok so heres the deal i get home to day and my biggest girl in my hydro was looking sick along with the other but not as bad i wish i had a ph tester(planning on getting one for next grow) so i check the water to c if it was ok in am using a 4 plant bubbleponic system with genreal hydroponic nutes with distilled water and molassas and i oppen it and there is a film over the water it stinks and what looks like mold on the top and around the baskets the plants sit in oh yea even on some of the expanded clay pellets what does any one think the problem is should i not be putting mollasses in the water i know it it good for soil and read somewhere it was ok to put it in the ponics do i need to do a complete clean on the tub and as much as i can on the baskets i know pics will help i will have them up in a couple hrs i couldn't stay at my grow had to go to my parents the dog sit for a bit ima put her back up in a bit and go back home to get pics should i go ahead and get more water to replace whats in it let me know quick yes its my first grow and yes it bagseed but they are still my babies mmfcl

putting molasses into a hydro tank is asking for nasties to grow ... 2 things ... you really need a PH pen and you need to stop putting molasses in your res.
empty the res and clean it completely then go over to the hydro section here and find Al. B. Fuct and find out how much 50% H2O2 you need to put in your res. thats hydrogen peroxide if you didnt know .. and not the 3% solution you get at the drugstore ... you need to run it thru your res every 3 days or so . but you need to get those bacteria under control asap. and the molasses is doing nothing but feeding them

k yeah ima stop giving molassas i guess you learn from your mistakes yea it is some nasty shit i now know why ppl say hydro is harder well not really harder but its like a running a salt water tank theres alot more you need to do to keep it right thnx phinxter ima go look him up right know it sux my plants look like they are wilting from lack of water i ent and god some fresh water and gonna spray the roots off and hope for the best i wish i had the mony for a ph pen right now but i am straped for cash

res temp needs 2 be 68-72 to really avoid problems

k heres an update i changed the water put in clean distlled water with lil less then a cup or 3% peroxide gotta make due with that till i can make a run to the ponics store and pic uup what i need i also had my plants sitting in the lid of my rubbermade in the sink and rinsed out the roots and the air stone which was gross oh and the fucking water holly shit it stunk up the whole room the bad thing is i just did this whole process monday which i have to untie my top branches then slide them outa my tent and blah blah but my girls looked pittyfull branches drooping leaves wilting i hope that it was just the bad water that did. but i had get back to my parents i was so worried i had to drive back down thier and do the little i could do more info tommorow after work hope they picked up

second update just checked plants and my two r still looking wilty a lil worse but not to bad and the roots are looking better not brownish and some of the leaves on top r turning colors when i get back there tommorow ima change out more of the water and put nutes back ing to hopefully get her going again no pics yet left my cam at my parents house will put them up when i get off tommorow
