Here is my Green House "White Widow". From what I've read it's not the original white widow yadda yadda - call it what you want, i like smokin' it lol. The first time I harvested this plant I think I made two mistakes...
1) I cut it early because it looked ready but I didn't check trichs!
2) I cut each individual bud off the plant and manicured them and then hung so I think they dried too fast - the smoke is a tad harsh.
So I want to cut her when she's ready, no mistakes, this time around I'm in no rush! The reason I post this is because I just checked the trichs and there are a few clear, most cloudy and a bunch amber / going amber (i noticed the ones turning amber and leaning over look clear but really if you look closely in the dark you can see they arent clear there is amber going up the middle)
I was thinking about letting her go 1 more week and cut at around 10.5 weeks flowering. I plan to flush her with plain water 24 hours before harvest to keep the buds wet when I harvest because my dry room is low temp low humidity so stuff dries fast in there. I've also read to chop them when the lights are off since the nutrients are stored in the roots until lights click on. After I chop her I am going to trim any large leaves and then hang her as 1 plant up-side-down. Then after drying for a good 7 days Ill cut the buds up into manageable units and start the cure. How does that sound ?
