Envirolite lamps fit straight into an E40 fitting. No Ballast. I got mine off ebay. £35 for the 200w version.

Day 83.

She's come back from my friends looking healthy (Phew!)

Day 84 - building a screen.

After a trip to the hardware store, it's time to SCROG (Screen of green) this bushy lady.
Screen is 50cm deep x 70cm wide. Cut my wood to length, marked off my holes (7cm spacing) and threaded the string through -



Carefully fitted the plant under the screen and spread out as many tops as I could -



There are 70 potential squares to fill with buds, going to try and fill as many as possible for maximum bud sites.

Moved the light up for a photo -



She's now under the 400w HPS and on 12/12. Hoping she will at least double in size whilst flowering.
Watch this space...

Thought I'd show you all a close up of the top of the screen.
The light is sitting 9" from the top, with the extraction fan, ducting & cool tube the room is 25C (76F) and the cooltube only feels warm to the touch.
Counted 25 good bud sites so far with more on the way

got a scrog goin and the three plants under it are a little behind yours, just startin to poke a couple budsights through the top

pain in the ass with DWC though, thinkin maybe just soil for the scrog for now lol.

no problem, gotta couple grows goin right now but only journals of the seedlings, so pretty boring right now. I do have three plants goin under a scrog, also using 400 hps.

Reiss hats off to you your ak auto journal is a legend a pal of mine shown it me i am following i got biobizz all mix , biobizz root juice , bbgrow/bloom and topmix and 10 fem ak auto by lowlife is it safe to post pics from home on here im a bit paranoid of the internet find this site hard to use also that SCROG device looks mint will defo be following your future posts , merry christmas!! do you think they will do ok in 6.5 litre sqare pots with the pots all touching with no space between have tite spce to work in all the best!also could you do a plan for the auto ak the same as this ww plan your a legend .

I believe round pots are better for the roots but not too sure on that. 6.5ltr is fine for an auto but you will need space between them to allow the plant to spread out a bit, especially if it's an auto ak.
With regards to posting photo's here you should be fine I always use someones WIFI though just in case!

thankjs for quick reply reiss i was thinking off getting a tray with the square pots fits exactly under my stairs thanks for advice i wondered if you could do a guide for the auto like this one The kit:
Soil (to start off) - BioBizz organic light mix.
After a few weeks repotted into BioBizz all mix.
Nutrients - All Biobizz organic. Veg, Bloom, top max, molasses.
Schedule - first few weeks - nothing, plenty of nutes in the soil.
Veg to flowering - BioBizz veg starting with about 2ml / watering building up to 5ml / watering.
Flowering - Biobizz Veg (2ml) + Bloom (5ml) + topmax (5ml) / watering + molasses (2 teaspoons / week)
Watering - when she's dry (going by pot weight) 2ltr brita triple filtered water usually every 3-4 days. I always let my water sit for 24hrs before using it.
Pot size - 8 litre (2.11 US gallons)
Light (veg stage) - 200W CFL Envirolite.18/6 through-out. Like the one pictured below -
She will be flowering under a 400W HPS with cooltube.
Temps - around 26C (78-80F)
Humidity - unknown.
Air - 2 x 80mm PC fans for intake. 1 x 12" desk fan for circulation. 400w HPS has its own inline extraction fan through cooltube.
Space - 2.5ft deep x 3.5ft wide x 5ft high

thanks for info organisation is always good sorry to keep asking questions last one what strain of auto would be ok to grow close together seen a few by dutchbreed but they dont do fems gonna do 5 ak first dont think ill fit ten !

Dude!! great work!!... My seeds are in water right now (1 DNA Hashplant haze and 1 Delicious seeds Northern Lights blue) Hope they look as good as yours!! I'm also vegging under cfls and gonna flower with 400W cooltube, DWC though...

She's been flowering for 13 days now and looking great! The tallest tops have grown 16cm in 13 days!

woo hoo an update! stoked to see how it is in a few more weeks, as I have one strain performing about the same and is also in a scrog. about a week and half now and already nice and crystally. My white widow babies are gettin bigger too, hopefully theyll look a little somethin like that!

I'm hoping she'll grow about 1ft above the screen and give me a yield of 5oz +

As she grew 16cm in 2 weeks, that's half way to my target with about 7-8 weeks more to go though growth will continue to slow down.

Ok, so this is turning out to be a thirsty girl.
She now gets 2 litres of filtered water every 2 days. She dries out almost completely inbetween.

Temps are a comfortable 76-78F / 24-26C
The upper set of fan leaves were looking a little pale, so I upped the nutes. She now gets:
1 teaspoon Biobizz Veg + 1 t/sp Biobizz Topmax + 2 t/sp Biobizz bloom every watering. 1 teaspoon is about 5ml. She also gets 2 t/sp of Organic blackstrap molasses once a week.

From top to bottom, she's looking happy & healthy so far.

20 Days Flowering

The buds have grown another 2-3cm in 1 week. She's slowing down vertically but starting to fill out. Trichs are also oozing out.
Getting concerned about the pale leaves. Maybe nitrogen or magnesium deficiency but as she's getting good organic food, I've bought a better PH test kit to make sure I haven't got a nute lockout due to the PH being off.

1 problem using a screen

Want to give her a good flush with PH adjusted water but there is no way to move the plant into a sink or bath due to the buds growing through the screen.
She'll need about 16 litres of water to flush the 8ltr pot, may have to get a small pipe and siphon off the excess as it runs out of the bottom. Any suggestions?

*edit - fitted a big tray under the pot to catch run off, going to use a turkey baster to suck off the excess water.
