Strain - White Widow x Big Bud
Style - DWC
Lighting - 400w super HPS hortilux eye bulb
Grow Area - 7' tall, 6' long, 4' deep

Seeds are germinating now, should pop in the next 12 hours. Any whos grown this strain that has any tips or warnings, let me know

I was actually reading that journal of yours a couple weeks ago, sorry about what happened. Does this strain respond well to fim'ing? Also, how high of ppm can they take?

the ppm is quite good if you keep on top of it i was using A-N
but mid flower the really need to be kept a eye on twice i fuked up but srted them qucikly :)

I've grown this strain a bunch. They are pretty forgiving, they do seem to be pretty heavy feeders and like their nitrogen for sure. I wouldn't stick to the Lucas formula but whatever, makes. I diff to me. I just think they enjoy more N. Trying to maximize ppm is a sure recipe for burn and reduced yields. My ppm maxed out at around 1700 in weeks 4-6. Started to get some micro problems at that level. Always better to start low and increase when you see problems pop up rather than going hog wild and then wondering if it is lock out or a deficiency.

Good luck

3/3 wwxbb germ'd, put em in my medium and now we wait for roots to hit the water. Using a couple CFLs for now until they are all settled in.

When should i turn on my HPS? I usually do it around the first set of true leaves(served me well many times). Any one else do something different? LMK

Yeah, you can do that, but at this stage its kind of a waste of electricity. If they are just shucking their shells, they are still using energy from the seed and tap root, they are not really actually using a whole lot of photosynthesis to produce carbs, they are just using stored carbs. This is just a fancy way of saying your wasting a lot of light by basking them in a 600 right now. I would wait until you get a couple sets of true leaves.

Either way, its not going to make a whole lot of difference. More about proper temps and sanitation at this stage of the game.

Good luck.

MH WILL provide tighter nodes. I flower with a mix of both.. but it is a pain in the ass to switch the position of the MH bulbs every week. 8 hoods.. 6 HPS and 2 MH.

Problem right now is that when im using my flouro's the temp gets in the low 60's in the grow room, HPS keeps it at a nice 76. My house is drafty as fuck, need to go out and buy some plastic for the 500 year old windows :P
