Having a germination issue with "y" I recently ordered from OSS...Ordered Satorti too...Not blaming OSS, they are good folks...4 of the 5 "Y" beans I purchased were small and dark; 1 "Y" bean was small but green...Put 10 Satori and 5 "Y" in Rapid Rooters to germ on Monday, December 24. All Satori have popped along with the 1 marginal "Y"...Not bad for less than 72 hours...Gonna see how things with "Y" play out over the next three days or so...Sometimes questionable beans can slip by the quality control guys...The breeder has a good rep...I did let OSS know that I had some concern based on appearance...One out of five would be problematic but I believe all will be well...This is just a heads up...Please post how your Y Griega appear when you receive them...Happy Holidaze

.i was a little iffy on it because i never used medical seeds before, but i use the trustworthy way of a paper towel, no rapid rooters here. why complicate a good thing

Hey Fender...Thanx for the reply and the heads up when your gear arrives...I have high hopes for the one "Y" should my worst fears be borne out...I usually germ all beans I buy, sex, cull based on looks, clone and work with the winners. That is why I bought the 5pk..Like I said OSS are good folks, good customer service. Bought from them several times over the years always got what I paid for so I assume Medical to be good people too since OSS retails for them...Lotta hype around "Y" so want to give it a fair shot...Working with just one stunted "Y" bean at a cost of $90 is not my idea of a fair shot. Hope OSS & Med will work with me if nothing else pops..Couple of years ago switched from soil germ to "Rooters". Germ rate improved so I am a believer. Never liked the paper towel method...Just different strokes...My 1 "Y" and 10 Satori sprouts lookin good and Psycho Killer from a Breeder's Boutique grow going into zips tonight so life is good.

srh...Glad to read you hooked up...Day 13 and all is well with my "Y" 5...About 3" under T5...All similar in appearance...How do your beans look?
