Growing Arjans Strawberry Haze in soil and in the 6th week of flowering :bigjoint:

All leaves have gradually formed lots of yellow dots, the plants appear healthy with leaves erecting up and buds are forming and ripening

There are some tiny brown yell bugs 0.4mm long but hard to see, but not very many, the odd dozy fly is bouncing of the HPS and then dies

Is this a problem yellow dots or just the plant starting to die for harvest ?

Man I had yellow dots on my leaves too and I went down to my local hydro store and they told me it was spider mites. I went home and looked and sure enough it was spider mites. If you are close to harvest I wouldnt use any bug killer stuff just try to get as much of them off as you can with your fingers and when you hang them to dry they will all climb to the top any way and then you just smash the little bastards lol I hope that helps you man.

it sounds like spider mites to me, if you flip the leafs you should see the little bastards crawling around. if you See flies as well you may have 2 problems. try finding a shop in your area that sells lady bugs or some other predator mites. you can release them in the grow area and let them take care of the problem/problems and when all looks good you can vacuum them up and put them in the fridge for later use. as for the flies .. throw some fly strips up to catch them.
if your feeling a little adventurous, it might not be to late to try some neem oil, there are a cpple ways of useing neem ie you can make a sulution to spray onto the plants, or you can make a bucket to flip your planys over (if there not to big at this stage) and dip the whole plant into the bucket of sulution. then after you harvest you can try your hands at water curing, as long as your carefull you should beable to wash most of the remaning neem off whell water curing. because the trics are oil based you wont loose much during the water cure.
i am no expert so do all your research before going a head and trying any of thease ideas. good luck and happy growing

Thanks 4 that Bud, I heard of the ones to buy i get some, I sure also my PH is to high especially after a clean water flush recently I think is causing yellow leaf, although in soil my grow shop says you dont need to PH adjust, my nutrient leaflet says it must be set 5-8 - 6.2, I sure thats yell :cuss:dots locking substrates, must be prob plus bugs and trap is needed :bigjoint: to you anyway thanks
