Yellow seedling leaves?

Hey just need a little help. I was wondering if this is normal. My seedling sprouted but I had an "helmet head" on it from 3 days from sprout. Now that the Helmet is off the leaves are yellow. Is that ok? Or what is going on.

thats usual when the seed husks stay on the germ'd plant. give it a little more time to respond to the light and the fact that is un-helmeted now. i left a germ's seed in a humidity dome too long and it stretched soooo bad, with the worst yellowing in cotelydons ive ever seen (probably being leeched by the humidity), that i nearly culled, but now 2 weeks later and its the strongest of them all.

i guess the first leaves that open the 1st fan leaves are dead now but there are signs of fan leaves growing right out the steam as if it were to sprout and open the 1st set of fan leaves. is that ok too? it has been bout a week but it seems to still have life!! ..my other plant is doing...well hanging in there i guess... it has crispy leaves and it has the "CLAW" for about 2-3 days and my fan leave tips are turning yellow!! :-( somthing seems not to be right about that. temp is 78 all times CFLs (5 of them) 12000 is the lumens/ 2inchs away from the seedling(1 1/2 week old/ has 1st noodes) fan is in use. i check ph all the time before i water....im using "JUST RIGHT SOIL"!!! i need help on this one!! ima 1st time grower...but im not a dummie..just need a little help. thanx for the replies!!

that is way too much light for a new sprout...take a couple lights out and back them off a bit...and i never heard of that soil....but if it has ferts in it...your probably burning them...seedlings like to have lil to no ferts for the first 2-3 weeks...whats in the soil is more then enough to keep them going.find out what the npk is for the soil...is its too high consider transplanting them...that isnt good this early...but might be your only choice.also...what is the ph of the water your using...its best to have a ph in soil around 6.3-6.5 most tap water is way higher than that...mine is around 8.2...which is wayyyy to high of a ph...invest in a ph tester..your plants will thank you for it...so to sum it up...back off for a little bit on the lights...check the ferts that come in your soil...and check the ph levels of your water

oops..missed where you said you checked the ph...im high...gdp...what can i say

HELP please anyone?? Should i Flush??
noooooo...way to early to start flooding them...you would most likely uproot it in the process...it should still be plenty wet from your first watering...and flushing wont really do anything for it but replace it with what it already has

I want to post y'all some pics! How do I do that? Thanks too all that are helping out! Well last night I couldn't take it anymore I had to do something about this problem. It has been 4 since my plant with the 1st set of nodes has been on it's downfall. so.. I did a "do or die move" since the leaves are turning yellow(at the fan tips/lower part) and the leaves are getting crispy/dry like texture I flushed it out with have a gallon of ph water (6.5/tested) after I let it drain out the bottom (2-3 mins) I say. Then I poked holes on top! Then went to the bottom and took a straw poked holes into the drain holes(5) and gently made my way all the way to the top of the soil surface. I did that to all drain holes, and yes I was careful no to break/damage the precious roots! I let the lights up an inch more of all sides. I put the growing pot on top of a bowl (yes a cereal bowl!)and had a little 4inch fan circulating right at the bottom of the pot so some air/oxygen would go under the pot/roots, though the drain holes and dry some wet soil. Hey guess what!! 12hrs later.. Signs of progress!!! The new top leaves are now picking up and looking towards the light!!! I will not water till another 2-3 days depending on how the soil is doing! I would like to post pic to let y'all see. It's just that I'm new here and I just need to know how.

P.s the cause of the plant problem was poor drainage from sprout! The seedling was growing very fast from sprout the slowed Down and leaves became crisp and droopy like. The botom of the pot had news papers on the bottom but i did not poke holes for the drainage.( I was high 2 at the time I was starting) lol FML. There fore the water was just sitting at the bottom evertime i watered!!! A day later the leaves tip were turning yellow! It had been 4-5 days like that and so I did the "do or die" move.

It has 7 nodes on it's 8th one now and it's 8 inches tall. Can I flower with good yield?
if you still have plenty of space for it to grow...id keep vegging it a lil longer..if low on space go ahead and flower it...cause it will get the flowering stretch where it can grow 3x its size.kinda hard to tell what it will yeild at this point

Yeah I think I need to veg a little more. I think the plant should be a little bigger though, that really bothers me.. But it has been stuned from the post date 10-04-2010. It took 3-4 days after to recover and was growing pretty well after. My question is should I wait for smaller branches from the nodes to grow out? If so, how long? My grow area is about 5 feet tall and the . Thanks to all that helped. I will countinue to post pic and keep y'all updated!! If there's any question feel free to ask!! :-) im gonna start being on here on the regular!

depending on the strain...you might now get much side branching...but if you want to get the most out of that plant...i would def keep it in veg...start doing some lst to it asap..that will keep it low either way...plus the side branches will start blowing up.when you tie down the top of the plant...it allows more light to the side...and it sends more hormones to the side that now think they are the top..i would look into the crop circle type lst...that would be a great plant to try that with

I really don't wanna go that route. Do you think I'll help if i put the CFL's closer towards the bottom of the plant? I have extra bulb Just in case. I jus want the plant to strongly grow and I want to flower in about 2-3 weeks. Do you think I'll be back on there feet as if they were not stunned at all?

if only using a couple cfls...your not gonna get enough light to the whole plant...light needs to get the the areas under the bigger leaves to get the sides to grow...with it being that short and bushy...at least doing a simple lst on the main stem will really really help that plant..it could easily double your yeild..in half the space.really easy to do..and dont cost a penny to do it...need tips on ways to lst..let me know..i do it almost every grow...got pics to show different ways also.....in 2-3 weeks this could triple the size of the plant...and help get the limited light all around the plant..and not just the tops of the leaves...this would stunt it at most a couple days...but then will really speed up its growth.then all your side branches...and then your soon to be forming bud sites will be able to get more light
