Hey guys and gals so the other day I finally got rid of the cfls and introduced a 600 watt mh with adjustable ballast I have the light about about 2' now since I've been noticing yellowing and burnt looking leaves I had it at 20"originally from the tallest plant my question is .... Is it the intensity off the 600 from cfls to much should I dim it to about 450 or is it more of a vitamin problem I haven't done anything with bytes not really trying to get Into all that considering my first grow I used harvest organic potting soil and have been just using tap water need help dnt want the yellow to continue up the plant they are 4 weeks in veg and the new light has been in for the past 3 days and this is when I stared to notice more yellowing ...image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

IMO it could be that your soil is exhausted of nutrients.

Plants overall look a little pale.

If these plants were mine I would add some feed next watering.

Ok. I can tell you what it looks like to me.
The yellow dying leaf is nothing to worry about because it looks to be in the shade.
No light =dead leaf lol, but I do think that might be some heat stress.
Can you post a pic to show how far from the plant the 600w is?
Also is that thermostat at canopy level? If not try to rig it where the leaves are to get an accurate read of how hot the plant is getting.
I wouldn't stress it dude. I

The light is literally 24" away from the tallest plant I check every day and that's about the furthest It can go and still do it's job ... And yellowing tipsss???image.jpg

The yellowing tips look like slight nute burn might wanna drop down the ppm.
Are you feeding calmag?
Usually when I see a twist of the leaf like that its because i fed too much calmag

The EASIEST and one of the BEST is Dyna-Gro!
Per gallon of water add;
5ml Dyna -Gro "grow"
2.5ml G&H Armor Si (silica)
3-5ml G&H CALiMAGic (Ca/Mg)

Use this every other watering !

You can run this ALL the way to the end if you want. IF you MUST switch to a "bloom" nutrient....Use Dyn-Gro "bloom" and switch over at the beginning of week 4, NOT at the flip to flower and you will skip problems that get asked here ALL the time!

Best of luck to you man!

P.S. Ignore the "Yellow leaf tips say nute burn" rubbish!

Anyone popping in and telling the new guy to use AN will be promptly tarred and feathered!:fire:
