1 in coco is doing the same as the one in dwc. Both the same strain, white widow/white russian. The 3rd one I have in coco is doing just fine but these 2 have this problem. I thought it was nitrogen deficient, but all the pixs I found, the yellow starts at the end and works it's way in. This one works from the inside out. So I thought it was a mag problem..any ideas?

Mine is the same, although it is still young. I would put it down to over/underwatering, but I'm still not sure.

No sir. This is hydro.

I agree it looks like the beginning of mag deficiency. Also looks like you might have some minor nute burn a one time.

Its not mag def. That starts at the tip and goes along the edges then inward.

Its iron and / or sulfur deficiency. Top dress with kelp meal. Do a foliar spray with kelp and epsom salt. Kelp has plenty of pottasium and iron and amino acids. Epsom salt has sulfur and mag.

The hydro one looks like the beginning of potassium deficiency too.

Happy growing.

Looks like the beginning of the manganese deficiency.

I said manganese.
that may actually be caused by a high level of magnesium.

MANGANESE (Mn)
Necrotic and yellow spots form on top leaves. Mn deficiency occurs when large amounts of Mg are present in the soil. Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn.

So mix some kelp meal and epsome salt up, and spray my dwc plant, and then top dress the coc plant with kwlp meal? Idk how it would be potassium deficient, isn't coco husk high in potassium, so you have to treat with much more calmag, because the high potassium of thr medium, can lock out the other nutrients. But yours is the best I've heard so far. I'm gonna checkthe runoff ph, and my bucket later and see what the ph's are. If they're on point, I'll mess with the foliar feeding. The hydro one idk how it got deficient.

Just spray with kelp regularly . Add epsom if mag or sulfur def is there. Coco is already high in Cal. So do not add Cal-mag. Just a mag supplement if needed.(epsom salt, humega). Coco creates potassium when it breaks down. Which takes 6 + weeks of cook / composting time.

Nm topdress. It will take to long to break down in coco.

I spray a foliar mix of kelp meal and aloe gel every other day on whole veg.. they love it.

Furthermore, calcium and magnesium are both naturally attracted to bind to coco coir, causing them to become unavailable to plants. To compensate for this, it is important that you add some form of a calcium/magnesium supplement to your nutrient solution, especially if you are using reverse osmosis water.

Thank you ^ so basically I need to add a heavy feeding of calmag everytime I water with nutes? And light calmag when I water?

I cannot recommend anything personally about growing in coir, don't have experience with it. I just know that I've seen dozens of times how important adding calcium and magnesium is when using it.

Wait it was that simple lol? It was hot for a while, had all 8 bulbs on and saw the stress. But I turned 4 off. So idk why it's still doing it. But the temps are down now so they should be coming back...right?

Bj has it backwards. You have to be careful adding Cal. Coco already has Cal. Too much Cal and you will get potassium lock out. Too much mag and will have Cal lock out. Only add a little mag. Once coco breaks down after a couple months of cooking. It creates potassium.
