the rest of the plant looks healthy but i am wondering if it is normal for a plant to start shedding leaves off only a week into flowering....
yellowing leaves on bottom of plant working its way up

IMO - that's not normal. I believe you had posted another thread INRE this issue, and said you were using nutes - so it's not a nute deficiency?
Have you checked for water PH level issues?
Have you checked for bugs (maybe spider mites)? You will need at least a jeweler's loupe - those bastards are tiny. Look at the underside of the larger fan leaves.
What's the lights on/ lights off temps in your grow area?
Sorry - w/o close up pics of the leaves, it's kinda hard to guess....

yea my cam is not working at the moment. but the temp is like 79 lights on and 72ish off...srry bout the mutliple post....computer was lagging....i mguessing its a ph problem...how long will it take for the adjustments in the ph to show?

it should show signs of improvement within 24-36 hours but it could take a week for it to get back to growing at full speed again. FYI im on week 5 of flowering and none of my leaves have gone yellow, but it could be cause its a different strain. If you keep your nutes right you should have no problem though
