Yellowing Lower Leaves. Feeling Lost in an Ocean of Information

Hi everyone,
First time posting here so bare with me... I'm having a little trouble with my first indoor grow here. We have 10, hopefully ladies under a 400W MH (2 feet above canopy, air-cooled) 5 Barney's Pineapple Chunk as well as 5 freebie "Reg's Big Bud something". Anywho, everything has been going great until about 4 days ago i started noticing the first node leaves began yellowing from the tips back. They developed small yellow spots grow outwards from the veins before eventually browning and dying. They're in a mix of Peat Moss, Perlite, Earthworm castings and a dash of lime... forget the exact ratio :joint:

The problem plants are the BigBud's which happened to be in just slightly smaller pots (pink). It's consistently 79-81F and Between 45-65%RH with both exhaust and circulation fans. Using distilled water (1/4 cup daily) and fed them about 2 quarts total(over last 2 weeks) with a Botanicare solution including, CAL-MAG (2-0-0), Prue Blend PRO grow (3-2-4), Liquid Karma (0.1-0.1-0.5) and Sweet (Original berry) (following the bottle's instructions of course), pH adjusted to 6.7 at 375ppm.

Now really I'm thinking its a pH problem or maybe overwatering? I've got the General Hydroponics pH kit and a POS soil tester but how am I to Measure the soil's pH without a decent meter? Is it possible to measure accurately with the solution and a vial? I think that's about it...
Thanks in advanced for any help!

Nothing? Well I guess I'm just gonna let em dry out a bit then just flush the Big Buds with plain distilled yeah?

Mites!?!? I found a few small holes you can see in the 5 finger leaf in the upper right!
Any ideas!?!?

Any help or experience opinion would be greatly appreciated!
kiss-ass Perhaps any information on "Reg's Seed Bank" ? I can't seem told locate anything on them, not even on Herbie's headshop where I purchased them :?

whats up pineapple bunk,.....well it looks to me like you have a slight diffenciey going on im not 100 percent positive but i believe its either nitrogen ,..or magnesium im leaning towards
nitrogen beacause of the yellowing,....if you dont have a soil p.h tester put some of the soil in a cup with some of the water that you use for feeding let it sit for 20 25 mins and then test the run off of the soil thats the best you can do with out a tester ............hope it helps

and listen to some of the ppl that have been here a while .........all info isnt good info but there is a lot of good growers here,......you should be fine bro

Well I flushed them and the runoff was pretty acidic so we'll just have to wait and see I suppose... Also went ahead with Organocide and neem oil cause I'm freaking out...
Wish me luck

I have been having the same problem with my Og,.....I've been looking into it and my soil is mostly sphag. peat and tends to get acidic older it gets. I just flushed with Dolomite lime crushed fine 1/2 tbs in one gal.. and things perked up but still have a light color. Dont know if its gonna help but will find out.
Hey Pine do your leaves have a dull color, or lets say they aren't shiny just wondering?

I'm curious as to the water, have you factored in that distilled water has a very low ppm and little or no dissolved salts? I just use tap water.

So ... i think i can help... i dont think the deficiency is in ur NPK but sodium... its not included in most soil mixtures read ur bag... yes if anything in PH u wan to go alkaline not acidic im sure u know the ideal is 5.8-6.5... (also note that pH is on a LOG scale (ph of 5 = 1x10^5 ph of 6=1x10^6) each point is 10 X stronger so when u do take a reading looking for pH6 and u get pH 4 u are 100x more acidic then ur looking for FYI lol)also w the mites.. if u want a sure thing SNS217 is a flawless product.. its organic can be used all the way thru flower and kills mites and their eggs key ingredient is rosemary oil... even better after u treat it like that to fully aviod mite problems in the future (the automatic spayers in bathrooms, you can buy them at walmart or w/e for 15 bucks and they come w a like fabreeze spray can ... well you can swap that out w ones they make especually for mites... it goes off evey 10-15 mins and i went from infestation to barely spot a one in my 1000 sqr ft garden....

How the hell do I quote multiple posts? geez

Yup, I didn't realize just how acidic peat moss is... I plan on using water adjusted to maybe 8 or so in an emergency if this doesn't clear up soon, That's what you're trying to achieve with the Lime-water yes? :?

Damn thats an awesome idea... yeah I did actually forget the exponential scale BS which kinda scares me lol

So what do you guys think about watering with an alkaline water such as around 8(using pH Up)?
Just how effective (stable) would this be at raising the pH?

I was just curious as to the distilled water, probably nothing, but still an intresting choice for a soil grow?

I guess... I didn't think peat and perlite was considered soil I dunno.
I just like the idea of a stable pH and starting from zero when measuring nute concentration? overkill maybe...
