Yellowing of leaves, what could this be?!

Yellowing leaves at the bottom of the plant ususally indicate a water problem. This can happen from overwatering or underwatering. If your soil and plantpots suffer poor drainage this can cause this to. I broke out my bonsai last night and put her into a slightly larger pot with good drainage, still no ferts except whats naturally in the soil. All of the shoots that were sitting dormant grew about 1/4 inch last night. Next month I'll be putting her into some lava rock.

Just thought I would give an update to this thread, received my soil meter today and it read like 7.5 in ph. So what's the best verdict in how I go about bringing this down? I have also now received my new 300w red cfl which I have plugged in straight away as I've heard that you can grow with red right from vegging. Sooo this means I have gone from 125w to 425w!!! if I don't see a difference in growth soon I'm not going to be best of pleased!!

More leaves are still yellowing at the tips, i'm running out of ideas....some ppl say its a N deficiency and others say im over nuting!!
PH in soil is 7.5 - 8, what should I do to lower it? My tap water is 6.4 so is it ok for me to use this, if I put chlorine remover in the water (for aquariums) ?????

ok for starters im a noob and my plants airnt doing so hot HOWEVER two things ive learned the hard way soil ph is supposed to be at 6.5 flush the soil with 6.0 water until you have done 2 -3 times the amount of soil.

if you are using one of those double stick things to test the soil ph those never work

as far as an easy ph down lemon juice about a capful will do a whole point of ph to a gallon of water. and make sure your water ph and nutrient water ph is all within 6.2-6.9 and it should clear up. (ph up/down if you have a hydro store near you)

PS 65k BLUE is best for vegging however 27k will still make them grow (reds better for flower)

Are these not reliable then? I cant understand why my soil ph would be so high considering arnt nutes supposed to make it more acidic?? :s......

Also im still using my 125w blue cfl, but using the 300w red as the main one (in the reflector).

As with flushing, i've put a bottle of drinking water (750ml) into each pot. However only about 10% came out each, I doubt that this was enough to be classified as a flush. Therefore would I be able to get away with using my tap water (6.4 ph) but use an aquarium grade anti-chlorine solution, to finish off the job?

another update on the situation:

Put the girls into 12/12 yesterday and fed them with their weekly dose of miracle grow and they arnt looking too great today!

This is a real disappointment because about 2-3 days prior to flowering they were doing great after I gave them a flush, so any ideas??? Why are they so droopy, I'm really losing enthusiasm with this shize. I know the obvious thing would be to blame the MG, but surely 1/4 measures of their recommended dose wouldn't have this impact!! plus they seemed to be heading this way before adding any water or nutes.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

could be because of overwatering but shouldnt occur that quick, hopefully a more experienced grower can help you soon, gl
