crackin threads on here:) nice to see the CFL movement grow too!

I had some autos under 300w CFLs and it was magic! with minimal/budget venting etc my cupboard stuck around 29celsius too!

I had 2wks of flowering left when my flatmate got our place visited by the popo:/ all landfill now. big CFLs are just a bit pricey to replace!

Excuse my ignorance but what is Popo?? Is it cops? and if it is cops why did your flatmate get them to visit and why was this person your flatmate? confused :-)
 
They sell 23-26w cfls for $8.88/4pk......that's 4 100w equivalent bulbs for under 9 bucks!Im good with that:)I use 28 bulbs and in 2yrs only replaced 4(they were a cheaper brand).

yeh police. funny turn of events really..

flatemate gets with another mans girl at nightclub.. gets punched in face.. the girl has an argument with her bf and 'goes missing'.. she is a mental hospital regular so police are called.. my flatmate was one of the last people to be seen with her.. bang:/

i have thought about making some sort of rig, all powered by 1 plug.. but ive not got the skills:) peas
 
Bad ass lighting set up... I currently use a rigged bathroom vanity lighting system but that looks killer!

Thanks for compliments/rep.Ive made a few outta those 3-5 bulb vanity fixtures too,that's the easy way..lol.If you make one I wanna see pics.You need any help or questions pm me,i'll help the best I can.
 
try to look in to them LED bulb`s too, I seen good results with them too, with even less power used and heat

can also get em with other fittings E14 aso I might build a Veg fixture with 8-10 of this but Im sure you can flower with em as well, just get the right spectrum (IMO 3-1 2700-6500K)
 
do you use any side lighting with that rig? I am thinking of doing something similar with CFLs but at my current location running only 12 bulbs 268 actual watts total, and my temps are in the upper 80's lower 90's right now with a 6" inline fan for exhaust and 4 fans blowing on the plants.
 
I really like cfl's for the money. But I would not use under a 55w (200w equivalent)
I am running 4 bulbs x 55w in a 2.5'x 2.5' and the buds get quite solid.
