I won't. Your kind are a shrinking minority so I'm part of a growing power bloc. If you don't like regulations, move to Somalia.
Leftists support gun rights. Right wing supports gun rights.

Sorry dude, but it's literally only the wishy washy democrats that are trying to grab the guns.

It's never going to happen.

The trend is against you. It's not about taking yer gunz. That's propaganda promoted by reactionary right wing media who are using gun nuts as tools to enable tax cuts for the wealthy. Most people today -- including a large contingent of gun owners -- support rational gun regulations..

Oregon passed last year a very sensible set of laws to strengthen background checks, ban sales of high capacity magazines and require people who want to buy a gun to be licensed, part of which is to take a safety class. The law passed with a substantial number of gun owners voting for it.

It's not about "taking yer gunz", it's about enacting laws that have been proven to save lives.

Agree that the issue of out of control gun homicides is not a partisan issue. But Republican leaders and their wealthy backers make it seem so to dupes who listen to their right wing propaganda.

Consider how much you hate republicans, X it by 10, and that's how much I despise and mistrust democrats.

I can't agree with you.

Well, as I said, you are a shrinking minority. A lot of other people in other states are looking at Oregon's new gun regulations and asking why they can't have it there.

Most U.S. adults want to see gun laws made stricter and think gun violence is increasing nationwide, according to a new poll that finds broad public support for a variety of gun restrictions, including many that are supported by majorities of Republicans and gun owners.

The poll by the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows 71% of Americans say gun laws should be stricter, including about half of Republicans, the vast majority of Democrats and a majority of those in gun-owning households.

Stopped. Obviously unconstitutional.

I don't think it's ever been the average gun owners that are causing problems, it's extremists, like it always seems to be. They scream for an inch and then grab a mile, and fight tooth and claw before they'll give any of it back, claiming it has become a "right".
I've just never understood why politicians cave to the extremists so often, so regularly?
i try not to just buy simple explanations, but it sure makes it look like they're on the take from the gun industry, abetted by the NRA.

a similar phenomenon bedevils Islam. One point five billion Muslims and it’s a few thousand who shape opinion in the rest of the world.

It's delayed. A rural county circuit court judge's ruling is not final. This will go to the Oregon Supreme Court and be decided there. Agree that it's not a done deal. The gun lobby may well prevail there. If so, with a ruling in hand, we will go back, make adjustments and try again.

But look at your argument. It's not a rational one but a legal one. You've conceded that there is no good reason for all that firepower being sold into the consumer market and so you hide behind a legalistic argument. That can be changed. 71% majority is a powerful number in a democracy.

I don't understand why you are defending an industry that causes 25,000 homicides each year. I don't.

The hate you have for Democrats. Where does THAT come from? What harm have you ever experienced at the hands of a Democrat?

"Consider how much you hate republicans, X it by 10, and that's how much I despise and mistrust democrats."

Maybe he said something about hating Republicans elsewhere but I don't see it his recent post.

In any case, my point remains. Half of all Republicans want to see better gun regulations along with a vast majority of Democrats. With that kind of political sentiment, it's not a matter of "if" but when "legalistic" roadblocks to better gun regulations are put in place. They offer no good reason against the kinds of changes Oregon passed into law last year. Only legal ones.

He did say “ do you think I am a R…”

in any case, I’ll wager a bomber of a proper West Coast IPA he despises Democrats because they’re effective.

The democrats stopped Bernie, not the republicans. I know who my bigger enemy is.

"effective"

Note Sean Parker, Billionaire scumbag who helped pass the horrible AUMA Prop 64 bill.

For democrats to actually be effective, they would have to support progressives, which they apparently utterly abhor. Moderate neoliberalism will be the death of the party.

There isn't anything democratic about cheating or lying, which the democrats were caught red handed engaging in.
He never got more than a quarter of the votes in the Democratic Primary. He was not a good candidate. He only appealed to a fraction of voters in this country and was Trump's best hope to win in 2020.

Here is a pro-tip: Before we can make the kinds of changes Bernie advocated for (but never proposed in serious legislation), one must win elections. He never did, other than as senator of an irrelevant state.

Lulz at the reference to the cluster fuck in the DNC. Bernie's bros were rightly hated by people who were trying to win an election, not just win a small number of votes.
