Yield Est & Veg Question

Attached are pictures of my two girls (Super Silver Haze is the younger/smaller one, larger one is Wedding Cake).

WC is 1 day short of a 7 week veg (from breaking ground), SSH is 1 day short of a 6 week veg.

My question is - if I flip to 12/12 today, any rough guesses on where the yield shakes out on each plant? (Total actual wattage across 4 secondary lights and 1 main is 340W LEDs in a 3x3 tent). Of that wattage, 160 watts is full spectrum around the perimeter of the tent and 180 watts is a p300 from advanced platinum in the middle.

Second question is should I wait a week or two more and what would be the estimated change in yield if I did?

My LST has gone well, at only 13 inches (from dirt) I have plenty of vertical space now that I’ve moved my filter and in-line fan outside the tent.

Its a dirt, coir, castings, perlite mix and I do use liquid nutrients 1-2x a week. Currently 6-4-4 but will be going to a lower nitrogen option when I flip.

You want the winning lotto numbers too?

Initial asshole response, oops. There is 0 way to estimate. Too many potential pitfalls between now and harvest. Anyone that tries is just throwing a transom number at you.

Hopefully more than a little.
Haha fair - ranges are fine, was half meant to be a fun guessing game as I’ll be able to give exact numbers at the end :)

I read this article from an expert grower that said something along the lines of (max yield is 1 week per gallon of pot to veg and that yield doubles every 10 days or so of veg).

My hope is I end up with >8oz between the two.

Didn't know there was a formula, a qp per plant isn't an outrageous goal. I pulled 86g, dried, from my last one. She was beautiful, I probably could have let her veg a bit longer, but I was excited to get her to harvest. This was her. Red Hot Cookies from Sweet Seeds.

here’s what I always say to people.

what’s the minimum amount you would be happy with?

If yours is 8oz then anything over and above this amount is a bonus.

I look at things such as how much does it cost me for electricity to run my grow for the cycle? For Example let’s say £150 for the cycle

how much roughly in nutrients? Approx £30

Total £180

Does my harvest give me more yield than it would cost to buy based on the numbers above.

So basically if my harvest was over 1-2oz it’s paid for itself.

catch my drift?

I use a 300w LED and last harvest was approx 15oz

Different genetics, I know, but I'm actually expecting better from my next one up for harvest
Green Crack auto from 5seeds.
If I may offer and observation as well, not all autos are small, and not all photoperiod produce well. If you're not familiar with the strain's growth patterns it's always a surprise.

Some solid perspective there! That said, money isn’t really an object - it’s more the challenge of getting the most awesome plant I can. It’s my very first grow but I am a very experienced vegetable grower (20+ years from seed, organic and non-organic).

i am only marginally familiar with the growth pattern of these two. I’m super anxious to see where they shake out. I haven’t had a single hiccup yet, it’s been a shockingly comfortable grow so far.

Like I said it’s about having an idea what YOU are happy with pulling.

This was a single plant in coco under 300w LED auto feeding 5x a day at one point.

This is 2 plants same area feeding 3x a day.

Another thing I say is when you’re experience of growing the way YOU like to grow gets better the growing aspect and supplying nutrients etc gets boring because you’re just doing the same thing each time. Lol.

How many weeks did you veg those? I know I’m in soil, but that does make me think I should be adding nutrients more frequently. They’ve looked so healthy I haven’t done it as often as I was thinking I would.

light wastage looks good hope you found her burning limit
plant looks healthy looks like you overfeed her 2 times.

I have not found the burn limit - but a week ago I flipped the switch to veg and bloom and adjusted the height. I burnt my tomatoes bad with that light at 12 inches so I’ve been super cautious. The lights on the sides I keep lower.

I plan to drop the light 6 inches tomorrow - I figure if they haven’t burnt after a week, I can get more aggressive.

Top single plant was vegged for about approx 10 weeks to weave the screen etc.

Second pic I started them off under 200w cfl for a good few weeks while plant in the top pic was being flowered. Honest answer not even sure on veg time. Lol. Maybe 3 months but only 1month - 6 weeks under the larger 300w LED but I do a lot of training and pruning to shape etc.
