yield estimation

Thx a lot.

When your plants start to show sex and flower, could you tell me how are in size compared to mine in pic2 first post?

Im using biobizz allmix soil, biobizz grow. Temps about 19-26°C. Fed them just like 2-3 times with 1-2mlbiobizzgrow/ l

I topped only one plant. You can see the toppling in the small pot. Stricly for selfeducational purposes :-)

If leds dont penetrate so much, would you not especially use things like topping and LST to keep the canopy more even, instead of christmastree shape?
When my plant start showing sex they are MUCH MUCH smaller than the plants in your picture. I dont have a reference, but judging from pot diameter etc (You're using 2 gallons right) and so on Id say you're ahead of my pre-sex 1 gallons.

I've gone through 6-7 grows, so I am definitely not an expert by any means. What ive found with LEDs is that you do not need to water nearly as much as you would with other light techniques. I also began feeding my plants about 1/4 strenght of nutes, and have noticed no negative impacts to yield, but much less yellowing and lockout issues. Feed light, water lightly, and LST.

I've seen some people saying LEDs dont penetrate deeply? Well how deeply? The box im working out of is 36'' inches, pots are about 9 high, so i have about 22-25 inches to actually work with. I dont even get popcorn bud. I can throw some pictures up later tonight, but what ive seen with my led grows so far, is that even the lower buds end up crystally and dense, just as much as the main cola. Could be because my space is so small. I'd suggest as much lst and topping as you can, what you dont want are "pole" buds

What the hell is a pole bud. Because what I'd assume it is, feom the namesake, would be exactly what it is I, and most I'd assume, want.

Thx ActionHanks.
Yea some pics would be nice.

Well I just try to ignore the posts regarding LED when not in LED section...its better to hate rather than just take a look at some nice grows there in a couple of clicks ;-)

Ahh Ok - By topping do you mean cutting the cola ? or do you mean trimming the fan leaves ? If the fan leaves then I thought it was actually done so that light could penetrate through to the plant even more making the buds that form a little lower larger?

if grown perfectly with an led you may get 2 oz a piece if they all survive. You have a long way to go, worry about keeping them alive and healthy for now.

Ahhh cmon, dont down the LEDs so hard. I have a 300w 10band led. Is running at 192w+-. The onset of flower was rapid, had the preflower formations at 2 weeks. Almost no stretch. I think I'll pull an an oz or 2, if I do it all right. 1 light per 4x2 screen. The plants are praying and it looks good. But we'll see. If I can pull an oz or 2 off each, I'll be happy. But I didn't trully scrog, so when I do it next time and actually scrog train it instead of doing it last minute, it'll def yield more. But oh well, you live and you learn. You're not gonna match an HPS harvest, you just wont. But that's not to say you can't get a good harvest, and once you learn leds well and diel it in, you can't start gwtting close to the same yield per lightt size 300w hps vs 300w (192w) led and definitely get a better gpw ratio. But this isn't likely to happen on your first grow.
