Yield every 2 weeks

So I want to setup a grow where my I can get a yield of bud every 2 weeks...

My Setup:

Room 1 (Flower) : 1000 watt HPS
Room 2 (Vegging) : 400 watt MH

-They way I would start is 10 Plants in my flowering room and 30 small plants in my vegg room.

-Since my flowering period is 8 weeks I would cycle 10 plants from my vegg room into my flowering room. Everytime I take 10 out of my vegg room and add them too flower, I would cut another 10 clones too put back into my vegg room.

-My vegg room will constantly have 30 plants in it.

-By cycling my 10 new plants into flowering every 2 weeks it allows the previous set to have 2 weeks on the new set.

-By the time my first 10 are ready to pick it will be 8 weeks, thus for I should have 40 plants in my flowering room, and still 30 in my vegg room.

-When I remove my first 10 from flowering, 10 more will come in and the process shall continue.

-I'm thinking that with this process I should be able to yield somewhere around 1/2lbs every 2 weeks.

Let me know what you guys think as experienced growers...I've never tried this just thought about it and it seems to make sense, just a little worried about the lighting situation???

i think that might be a lil too many plants for one 1000w light
maybe consider using two or three 600w lights
and same for vegging i dont think a 400w would cover 30 plants

Only 8 weeks for flowering?? What strain is that gonna be?

I think you'll be cutting ur yield down but finishing too early..

10 plants for a 1000watt light is not to much if you supercrop and keep em small..but 2 600s would be better...and a 400watt is way to lil for 30 plants in veg...sounds like a good process but you would need more light...

He wants to have 40 under the 1000watt.

40 under a 1000 is a tad optimistic! I grow 4 or 5 under my 600. Personally i would put 10 plants max under a 1000.

Hey whats up. I am doing the exact same thing that you are doing. I have a 1000w HPS and a 400w MH in a 42" parabolic hood. I also have 8 48" flourescent tubes.
I am running Wonder Woman, Hashplant, Blueberry, and Flo. Im focusing on Wonderwoman and BlueBerry in the SOG type grow. Take a look at the grow in my sig! lots of pictures. +rept for you, I like your thinking
Flowering Room:
1000w HPS
7X6'
6' light mover.

Right now I have 7 plants flowering in the flower room (10 if you include some Im taking care of for a friend), THe light mover is no on now. I am building 2 shelves, stadium style in the back of the flower room for a continuous SOG style grow, with lollipopped. I am going to add 10 clones that were rooted at 6-7" and vegged to 12 inches, every 2 weeks. So I can harvest every 2 weeks. THis is taking almost 0 space out of my flowering room. I will then have my bigger plants centered under the 1000w and the mover.

Vegg room:
400w MH in 42" parabolic hood
4X4'

Right now I have 14 plants in the veg area. I am vegging them until the 15th and then they are going onto the shelves in the flowering room. Christmas Harvest! I am going to keep quite a few plants in here as well. Keep my favorites, and grow them out big for the major part of the flowering room. The parabolic reflector lets me drop the light right on on top of the plants and distributes the light evenly.

Clone/small veg:
2.5X4'
(8) 48" flourescent tubes; mixed spectrums with 4 plant and aquarium bulbs

Right now I have 20 plus clones that are in various stages. Oldest are one weeek old, and gettting ready to transplant, youngest are cut today. I clone in roto rooter cubes under a humidity dome with 100% success in under 10 days.
They get transplanted into half gallon bags when there roots are about 1/2-1" out of the rotorooter cube. They stay under flurescents for the first few days transplanted until they go to veg room.

I'm doing a similar grow 1000w MH veg room. 2 600w hps in bloom room. I'm going for a perpetual grow as well and was setting up for every two weeks. I'll probably end up harvesting something every week. Even if you only use one strain that takes "exactly" 8 weeks to flower maturation. Out of 10 plants you will have at least 3 that will grow at a different rate, one or two faster and slower than the average. To get that number as low as I can I take 5 more clones than I need and pick the 10 best. Also under 1 400w light it will have to be at the same hight all the time so the smaller plants are going to be subjcet to stretching when they are first moved into the room unless you have a staggerd shelf system.(if your useing a hood system). There is alot more but I don't want to jack your thread and you may already have a few questions. feel free to message them straight to me, I'm about 4 weeks into flowering on my first time through with this set up so your welcome to pick my brain to this point.

Sick, thanx for the feedback, although u say 40 plants is a lot I'm sort of gojing for the SOG effect... Not looking to grow monsters but just kind of yield whatever I yield... And for vegging 20-30 plants under 400 mh is fine I want them to grow but again not into monsters

pic 1 day of transplant 7 lavender haze from seed 7 big bud from clone. 5 mango from seed, 5 lowrider from seed, 7 nycd from seed, 3 random bag seeds from local grower.

pic 2 day 5 after transplant

pic 3 day of move to 12/12 after 10 days veg only moved 25 plants

pic 4 monday 10/5 flower day 21

pic 5 shot on porch day 21 flower (big bud)

tues. moved 7 more into 12/12


lost 9 plants (7 male chopped up, 2 hermies that I put in the woods at my brothers to seed and possably hash and butter.

Take a look in the grow in my sig, It is all coming together, once the next set of clones are transplanted and I get the clones into flower, Ill be going full force. Square pots can really help save space, especially if they are tall so you can still get the extra gallonage of the pots. I think i have seen 2 gallon pots that are 6X6" and about 16" tall. I think you will be fine with 40 plants. The large parabolic reflectors can help you keep the light real close and spread it over a wide area. Probably have to get square pots or use 1 gallon pots to keep 30 in veg. Hope I was any help

Obviously lumens don't tell lux, but they give a good relation in comparison to eachother:

150watt for 1.5x1.5 = 6000 lumens per ft^2
250watt for 2x2 = 6500 lumens per ft^2
400watt for 3x3 = 5500 lumens per ft^2
600watt for 4x4 = 6000 lumens per ft^2
1000watt for 5x5 = 4000 lumens per ft^2

All good lumen/ft^2 ratios.

to fit those plants (30 and 40) you would need them in 6 inch wide pots... that doesn't leave much room for root growth and they will probably be bound before they finish budding which will mean less buds. If you cut your plants down to 12 and 16 plants each taking up 1x1 square foot. You would only need to get 2oz off each plant (easily done if they have 5 gallon buckets) rather than 3/4 oz each plant .

I understand what you are saying. but fitting 16 five gallon buckets in there is absurd, if you compare it to square pots. get 2 gallon pots that measure 6X6 X16" and fill them in. I would get them up to 12 inches in 1/2 gallon bag pots and then transplant and flower. YOu should be good for more than 3/4 an ounce. I don't like your idea, and 5 gallon bucks would be expensive to fill, and manage.

if you used the 2 gallon 6X6, you could put 4 plants in a square foot, figure an ounce 1/2-1 ounce per plant. That blows you 5 gallon bucket with 2 ozs on it out of the water

I think you are going to have a kickass grow going here. I like how your thinking. I came across this right when I was coming to these conclusions about my own grow. I hope you start a journal and what not when you get going. When are you thinking about getting going?
