Yield Issues

AFOAF is growing organic in soil, using own nutes,now
But in a couple past grows, using foxfarm stuff all around, great genetics, just low yields
This time he thinks the yields may be a bit more, due to learning about LST, but what are some keys to bigger flowers, and more sites??? 4-5 inches between nodes(like diamond OG) is so unacceptable, considering elec costs in socal
He also has heard that yield will be dramatically increased by supporting branches...he bent and tied last time on many, and flowers were hella small.

how much room you got? y dont you just veg them till 20 inches and pull no less than 2 oz a plant? (under 600 hps) veg 4 weeks flower 8, 5-6 plants thats atleast 12 oz proberly closer to 16 oz

Lst takes longer to grow a plant, there is no real way of increasing yeild in the same amount of time imo except for better genetics and growing healthier plants, sick plants loose yeild big time. I was once told that the yeild would be the same for the same size of space if you grew 4 big plants which took as long as two grows 12 of little plants in the same amount of time. Hope i made this clear. Not always the case but a good rule of thumb i think.

I top my plants to maximise buds, seems like four branches on a short topped plant given 4 weeks veg is max yeild for most strains in a short space of time. Peace

I lst and fimmed my two pineapple express, and yielded 6 oz dry between the both under 400 watt mh/hps lights.

Maybe trying to maximise light energy would produce more bud, a cooltube equals more light and more bud.
