If you can ever find an old school landrace indica called Shiva, she is ripe with swollen calyxes at day 60. I would kill to have that strain back, big dense frosty logs. She would stretch hard after flip but barely grow during veg. She was great in a SoG. Very potent hard hitting indica stone, couch lock to the max. Ran her for 7 years and nobody ever built a tolerance, one hitter quitter. Sadly I have only found crosses of her but nothing pure.
That is why I say it's easier, you don't have to wait for the soil to dry out to prevent pythium. The coco holds more air at the roots. Also more forgiving for auto watering setups since you can err on the side of watering early.
