yo yo hangers

hi i purchased a cfl light and reflector and it came with 2 adjustable yo yo hangers, does any 1 have the same 1s and could tell me how they work??

when i unscrew the butterfly nut the cord can be pulled out but when i tighten the nut back up it just goes back inside and doesnt stay where i want it 2

ne help ???

they suck.. i made the mistake of getting them...

but basically you losen the nut to adjust to cord.. and tighten the nut to hold the cord in place... the cord will wind back into the thing if you dont have something on the end weighting them down.. like the light...

ah rite i was only tryin them when i 1st got them i havnt got them set up in the grow room yet as im just germinating seeds

i use two eye bolts, 1 in the celling and the other where the celling meets the wall and run a rope threw and to my light... wala light lifter....

I was looking at some yo yo hangers at my local shop. They were $35 he was gonna let me have them for $30. He had about six in his shop on his lights and they were really nice. You just grabbed the light moved it up or down and let go and they just stay there, no losening and tightening anything, just move and let go. They were really nice, but like he told me they are a novilty item for people that just have everything else and want something cool.

nothing beats heavy duty hooks with chains and s hooks... i was worried those yo yo hangers would break and i would end up walking in on my girls being crushed under broken lights that had fallen from the cieling...

if you watch one of URBANGROWERS videos he visits a grow oppand the fucking tweek grower is useing a cordless drill for a light raiser. but get this the drill's gears will not hold the lights up when he needs to deal with his plants so he has to put a pin in it so it will no roll back down.... i LMFAO at that one.....

my light system is somewhat like that now.. just cause i dont have the space to move... plus that way my lights are i needed to do something.. its ghetto as fuck... but it works.. no drill tho... nope... its all manually turning for me... but it really is about the best way i could do it cause after about a month of veg in my veg room i wouldnt be able to set a stool down to stand on let alone see the floor..

ya whats the sence in haveing a drilltolift your lights if youstill have to tie it or put a pin in... you would have to see this guy.. straight winner if you ask me....LOL

i got the yo yo/tension lighyt hangers... they fucking work awesome! i have a double vented growzilla shade with only 1 400w bulb at the moment(shade holds 2 bulbs) just sink the eye bolts in the ceiling... connect ur lights... and set the tension butterfly nuts... i love em! its so much easier to lift u r plant out the way with one hand while working on ur babies!

DEFCON - dont pay 30 for em... u can find em online for 15 tops... find the name of em.. do a google "shopping"search.. i paid 20 for mine came home n saw em online for 10.99

SIMPSONSAMPSON - i was scared of em dropping and crushing my plants as well.... they hold excellent tho!! theu hold up to 22 pounds i believe... should be fine for ur cfl's!

The key with installing the yoyo hangers is that you want the black yoyo part at the bottom (supporting the light) and you want the string tied to the support bar/beam/hook above you. The instructions provided are opposite.

It makes it so much easier to use/change when you flip it.

ditch the yoyo's. check out the "rope ratchet's" from sunlight supply. same price, wayyy better quality and a breeze to adjust your light

I took the washer out of one of mine because it kept screwing forever, taking the washer out seems to let it tighten better.
