got few decent size unknowns lingering in room with crop.just going in to 12/12 hr. How long before I'm able to tell male or female, Im told the only way to tell is changing light cycle to start budding.then after sex is known i can go right back to veg correct

you really cant tell until a week or two into flowering it....do some reading dude

Wrong - once a plant is mature it will show sex without 12/12.
That plant is not mature yet, it will show sex after you get alternating nodes.

usually when they get to a certain size even if they are in veg they will show sex, last grow my girls showed sex after 4 weeks of veg, usually you can expect sex organs to develop 10-14 days after the switch but every plant is different, you just have to keep an eye out for hairs or balls.

yes I understand that if you leave a plant in veg long enough it will show sex.....seeing as this is a young plant his option would be to set it to flower to sex it or he could wait months...or use the bag trick, either way the info is out there
