You think roots can came through this pot?

if you leave them in there long enough yes.. those look like peat pots to me,, they are good because then you dont have to transplant into a bigger pot you just drop the whole thing in soil as is and that peat will decompose and become food for the plant.

If the planters have drainage holes, then yes, the roots would find a way out if they outgrow the container. If no drainage hole(s), I dunno. Maybe if you kept the pots damp?

you will (or should) transplant before the roots get strong enough to poke through though... you do plan on transplanting right?

Personally I'm not a fan of those peat pots. I've used them before and they didn't break up. Some people love them though, to each his own.

I was planning to transplant them outdoor in an empty lot i found when i saw the roots hehe..

and that is what those peat pots are meant for... it eliminates the shock of transplanting,, you just dig a whole and drop it in,, but i would do it much before the roots start popping out,, in order for the peat to decompose properly it needs to remain damp.

just a note: different types of peat pots decompose at different rates,, the pots you have dont look like the ones i have and in fact they look like they would fall apart (or decompose) quicker than the ones i have,, i normally cut (or rip) out the bottom of the pot before i transplant as well

how many weeks whould you w8 before transplanting to the lot ?

what are those squares? 2"x2"?

they dont like big i wouldnt leave them in for long... i hate those square trays personally,, they are a pain in the ass because the soil doesnt drop out nicely like a cylindrical pot and they are all attached together... i start my seedlings out in the peat pots youve shown us in the first post then when the plant gets about 6 inches or so and I know its a healthy plant i transplant into a bigger pot

Im not plannig to trasplant them to a bigger pot i just want to take em' out of my house until i live on my own house (im living w/h my parents rightnow) my plan was to grow em indoor the first weeks so they can survive by their own on the empty lot

empty lot eh? man around here you have to go deep into the bush (im taking miles) to have your plant not found by random hikers, cops, or crop hunters.. by the sounds of it you may want to find a new spot,, and props for not gowin in the rents house,, because its their (and your) ass when the shit goes down,, they are paying for you to live not to grow pot
