Your Opinion...Is this Ready?

haha thank you! obviously showcasing some of my better.... fan leaves... LOL and yes it has to be connected to a comp. it's basically a webcam. i'm not him, but i'm gonna answer anyway

as others have mentioned, there are a few events (or whatever) that indicate its readiness. the culmination of all those events at the same time (or as close as you can get with nature) is how you can tell it's ready.

the red/brown hairs/pistils receding (prob not the best word but whatever) back into the bud is one
85% cloudy (not white! just cloudy) trichs
5-10% amber trichs

and some other shit i don't know/can't think of atm. so for me, since i've never harvested before, it's totally new. butttttttttttttt i read a lot of stuff and absorb the parts that seem legit/to make sense and hopefully our smoke will be good

eta: well i guess i didn't answer your question AT ALL. but IMO, it's not ready yet as i haven't seen any amber trichomes and the hairs haven't quite started to recede.

Thanks miz...sounds like you have done some smart research. But, looking at your pictures of trichs, would you say that yours is ready? Also, is your camera/scope connected to your pc?

If that was mine, I would wait maybe 2-3 days more, but checking a couple times a day for just a couple less clear.
I personally don't like a lot of amber, but I'll sacrifice some to achieve the ratio of clear to cloudy I like.
It's a tough personal call everybody needs to get a feel for themselves.
There is no "right" time that can be quoted, with all the diff strains, temps, lights, soil/ mediums, you know.
For instance, my last plant from Winter looked about 50/50 Indica/ Sativa, and took close to 11 weeks to finish, so I figured it must be mostly Sativa so I waited until I had probably 20% amber so I could have a few more cloudy, but if it had finished fast (7-9 weeks) I probably wouldn't have let so many amber come, and sacrificed the cloudy because I don't like to get nailed down after a couple hits.

Check daily (I'm sure you would anyway, LOL) because my last one surprised me and changed a lot the last couple days before I pulled her.

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet that's excellent! we're hoping to buy from our guy for the last time (well as far as smoke is concerned, heh) the end of this week. it should last us a month and by then we'll have something smokeable from our harvest

also, do you think there are some amber ones in there? i felt like when he was holding the camera and kinda spanning over stuff i saw some amber but it was hard to tell.

Thanks Bak...I would agree with what you said. I'm trying to wait for my scope/camera. I'm jealous as shit on the pictures that miz has of trichs. That's exactly where I'm headed. I looked at the link you sent previously Bak...I have a similar one on the way added to the camera order. WORD...

I thInk I see a few, but it MAY just be the color of the leaf showing through but I don't think so.
You have at least 70/30 cloudy/clear in most of them, so like I say, if it was mine, I wouldn't wait much longer.
Have you posted any pics of the buds themselves?
I can't remember........
If not, do you have some handy?

Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh, OK, now looking at that, I think more than 2-3 days, maybe a week to two, especially pic 2, beautiful, but I get the 'feel' it could still pack on a little more weight, and all pics look like you still have a few more long and white pistils than I personally like.
Notice I say "LITTLE".

see earlier today i was telling my boo two weeks, max. but now that im looking closer at the trichs you got me thinking maybe they're gonna turn faster? IDK MAN lol like you said earlier, we look every day for like an hour lol. plus i don't work so i can look at em till noon every day

If I had to bet a dollar on it, I would guess min 5 days, max 14 days until you pull.
Again, don't forget, you can pull ones you feel are right, and leave some longer to finish.
I'm sure you'll do fine with the hubby, beautiful plant so far.

Here are a few pics at 69 days of flower with the lights off. Looks like these girls are going to go over ten weeks. `I did get a good look at many of the trichs and they all look milky white (almost see thru) and some look solid dark white. I seriously cannot wait until I get my scope camera next week! I also made a couple clones and put them straight into my veg tent in their destined containers, but covered them with moist domes. We'll see...

On a funny note, I got freaked out yeterday when a helicopter flew almost directly over our home several times and very low. I was almost ready to run and rip if you know what I mean(lol). Turns out, they had booms on the bottome and were spraying herbicide in neighboring farm fields. Whew...

Pic 2 your colas look ready, but the other pics and the nugs in 2 look like not yet.
See how in 2, the colas 'look' fuller', and just have a different 'feel' to them?

I agree that the big cola's (Jamaica Airee) have looked ready to me for almost a week now. But when I put the 30x on those particular coles near the tops, half the trichs look see thru white, all others are solid or milky headed white. I'm not seeing any browing at all in them. I'm goint ot look at them again in a bit before the lights go out. The lower buds still have white pistols! I sure wish I could take a 30x picture for you to see...next Tuesday I hope! That airee has been smoking tasty and smooth with an excellent buzz. Those buds were from lower sections. Peace...
