Nice rant....but read the article. Seriously.

This isn't about humanitarianism. I just don't think we have a chance at succeeded at the mission we've set and even those who are proponents of the strategy (i.e. mcchrystal and petraeus) admit that it would take years. I'm seriously starting to doubt that any of this COIN stuff can actually work in afghanistan. Even in iraq, it was more internal politics that ended that violence there more than anything we did...

i see what your saying but if we leave the only viable alterantive would be to spy on the country 24/7 with drones everywhere dropping bombs on training grounds. then if al queda attacks us again based from over there what are we goona do then?


after sept 11 if you remeber everybody and thier grand momma wanted blood. the second time they attack us if they do the poeple will demand harsh justice and our leaders will end up killing way more innocents that they would have just securing afghaistan


all the people who died in Iraq, they died for Iraqs freedom. now iraq is free and flourishing


it drives me nuts when people say a war in afghan cant be won, any war can be won. its only the restraints we put on ourselves that make us lose wars


we could end it right now, if they just drop a nuke in waziristan and a couple other places, we can just pretend another tsunami hit and 300,000 died:D fuck it.

Many claim that it's because of our presence in muslim/arab countries and our support for Israel. I don't think we're interested in withdrawing either of those, but who knows?????????:-?

Obummer was stupid on this one. He should have sat on the publicity for a while and enjoyed the excursion from the whole oil spill fiasco. The general and the president are just a couple of puppets in a play produced by those too scared to come out in the open, those with too much to loose.

u think they are stupid enough to base thier operations from Afghanistan where colition troops are operating. they all operate from this lawless area between pakistan and afghanistan, pakistan does not even have controll of that area

any war can be won?? the only restraint is the one we put on ourselves?? what the fuck?? this isn't a post-BASE jump adrenaline fueled ecstasy. that kind of mentality was shared by Napoleon Bonaparte and Hitler. and guess what, sooner or later they lost their wars.....

what about resources?? what about the $$ that it costs to fight a pointless war, while people back home are loosing their jobs, homes, livelihoods??? i guess it's more important to prove you're right, even when your wrong. i guess people should only care about how the US will look weak if it leaves afganistan admitting it's pointless, rather than how the US will look when that god forsaken campaign drains our economy....

the ocean floor there is brittle that's why this shit got fucked in the first place. there are already scientists saying that a nuke down there could A. light the methane deposits B. make a larger hole

dude the leak did not happen because the ocean floor is brittle, it happend because BP wanted to save money and they removed heavy drilling fluid from the shaft to reuse it without doing the standard test before they did it. they filled the shaft up with seawater wich is much lighter that the drilling fluid and they didnt do the test first and the oil well blew its top


all rock can be considered brittal as it is not elastic, a nuke would melt all the surrounding rock and stop the leak,

its funny how u saying im making shit up as i go along when its obviously you with the above post. freudin slip im thinkin:D
