Alright ladies and gentlemen, the name's YungMoolaBaby/TehBosh, whatever you prefer. I got a 400w hps with a 250w LED from growitled.com. That LED provides IMO, the spectrum needed for the plants to really pack on the trich's and get huge. So here we Go:


I am growing: Super Skunk, Sour Diesel, and Double Sour Diesel x Headband (I call her Excalibur).

I don't like to shove a lot of plants in there, because I like the light that is already in there to really penetrate and give the plants in there more intensity. I will start throwing a few plants down there when I harvest one.

Update: Found out that the DSD x HB plants (all of them) are hermie. So I scrapped the clones, but am leaving the plants flowering to finish. I already expect seeded bud, but maybe I can get some feminized seeds out of this. Pictures will be posted by tomorrow.

Update: November 20th 2010.

I harvested the SS and it weighed about an ounce and half dry. I really need a new bulb for my 400w bad. It's decreasing lumens is becoming exponential and very detrimental to my yields.

The DSD x HBs are still in flowering, because I honestly don't care if I get seeds. That's why I have a grinder. Also I can pop em' and maybe, just maybe might get a keeper. I have seeds in my SS and from what I have read, a hermie pollinating a true female makes more female plants than not. So I will be working with a
(DoubleSourDiesel x Headband) x (Super Skunk) pheno here in the near future.

NOW PICTURE TIME.

This is my SS clone that grew to epic proportions when I transplanted it into a big 4 gallon pot. So I decided to throw her in flower. HERE IS WHAT I'M WORKIN WITH.

Here is the group including the newly introduced SS monsta.

And here is the recently harvested and dried SS. BTW this smoke is fantastic. I just wished it yielded just a tad more, but the quality definitely makes up for it.

As far as the LED that I have from growitled.com, it is doing what I wanted it to and then some. It makes trich development amazing and it denses up buds and makes longer colas. I would of had a better yield but I didn't water it in time, and ALL, not some but ALL fan leaves died. So I just focused on the bud.

Moosh, reggae, thanks for the props fellas. You guys have phenomenal grows. Good stuff.

Just thought I would drop some knowledge about what kind of LED I'm using.

Violet 420nm - Blue 460nm - Orange 612nm - Red 630nm - Red 660nm - FAR RED (IR) 730nm

Those are the spectrum's and I think those are the necessary colors to do the job.

Update Nov. 24th, 2010

I harvested one DSD x HB plant and got a good ounce off of it, and there was a lot of bud that I smoked early before weighing. It's that damn bulb! I just need to fork out 60 bucks for a CMH but money is real tight right now.

I harvested the DSD x HB early, because it had hermied and pollinated itself to the tits. So I got seeded bud needless to say, but I am going to germ the seeds and see what comes of it. Breeding is fun and exciting! Even if it wasn't on purpose!

I finally decided to throw the Sour Diesel Mother in the flowering room, but not before taking clones of her first. Pics are:

DSD x HB with newly introduced Sour D.

MONSTER Super Skunk just starting to flower under the HPS.

Group including noticeable difference in lighting with LED and HPS.

The SD down there is looking atrocious. I think it just got fucked somehow with ph imbalance. So I didn't want to take a pic of her.

And here is something else I have come to realize.

IT REALLY MATTERS WHAT KIND OF SOIL YOU USE.

I am using some soil that my friend gave me and it's organic and all, but it was cheap stuff from Home Depot.

This vs. FFOF there is just no comparison. I truly am realizing that if you want bigger, better tasting buds, you gotta get some good soil with some good additives.

Personally I think earthworm castings are godsend. And the next round I do I am going to start from scratch, clean it all up and pop those (DoubleSourDiesel x HeadBand) x (super skunk) seeds. With better soil with lots of goodies in them. Just thought I would rant a little.

I harvested my other DSD x HB pheno. This one didn't chuck as much pollen as the other one, so I have less seeds, more bud. Plus those seeds are gonna be grown eventually. Smells very diesel like and was relatively easy to trim. Will have dry weight in a couple of days....

And here is a pic that I messed with using a program called PAINT.NET. It's like photoshop but free. I'm by no means a graphic editor or anything like that, so I was just messing around.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL. Real quick update. I killed the SD because I realized that getting clones from dispensaries isn't necessarily the best move. As SeeMoreBuds says, "Bringing clones into your grow room is like having unprotected sex; you don't know where it's been." Something like that anyways. I defoliated the SS because I let it get a little too dry, hence frying some leaves, So I again was forced to decide on concentrating as much light as possible on the buds. So we will see. I also have 2 other SS clones down there that are at about 2 weeks in flowering. But for now here is the monster Super Skunk.

Also, I have decided I need to shut down the grow after the rest of the Super Skunks are done. The reason being is I am moving, and I believe I have some sort of fungus gnat or thrip infestation due to poor dirty habits. I need to regroup, move, set up, keep it clean, and actually plan it out instead of flying by the seat of my pants. Not to mention I have some good hearty DSD x HB seeds that are more likely female than not. Also I have some (DSD x HB) x (super skunk) seeds that are feminized by way of unintentional rodelization. Also I REALLY NEED TO GET EITHER ANOTHER LED OR A NEW BULB FOR MY HPS. A CMH WOULD BE NICE.

ANY feedback whatsoever is really appreciated and rep is always liberal.

Interesting Hobby for sure. Sorry to hear bout the hermies gettin your stock... but like you say.. its done so what the hell..

Anyrate, your way further into this lil hobby than I am.. just starting here and still 4 weeks from my first plant being chopped so I''m gonna kinda keep an eye on this post as long as your updating it. I'll subscribe to it if I can figure out how. Great Job...
