So I have 3 indoor plants that i had vegged for 4 weeks. They are in a soil mix made from Harvest superpowered organic potting mix 1-5-5(its sold at lowes), epsoma bio tome starter (4-3-3), perlite, and gravel. They are in 5 gallon buckets. I started them under a 400watt mh untill last friday when i put them under the hps 400. Ive been feeding them Alaska fish emulusion( 5-1-1) roughly once a week. So I put them into flower last friday. They started growing small bunched leaves over the weekend and after much research i came to the realization that they were zinc deficent. I know for sure this is the issue and im pretty sure what caused it was a combination of underfeeding and letting the soil get to dry, they went the last 10 days before I put them in flower without either. I was out of town and they were a little neglected but otherwise they looked fine. No wilting but just a little pale, maby a few white tips. I just figured they were hungry. Anyway so monday I flushed the soil and feed them miracle grow liquid quick start( 4-12-4) And unsulferated molassess at 1tsp to a gallon for each plant. Waited 2 days and foliar feed them with fish emulsion and alittle bit of mollassess. The ph of my run off after my flush was 6.3. I also buried a couple pennies I had filed on in there soil. So my question is. Has anyone else ever delt with this and how did you remedy the problem. Also how long did it take them to recover? I am playing with the idea of putting them back under 18/6 till they recover but im not sure if this will cause more harm than good. Any advise would be awsome. Sorry no pics yet im on my phone and away from the house but ill post some tomorrow.
