How well are you liked VS. how much you like others

I have been here for awhile and I remember when the like system was introduced.

I noticed how some people 'liked' almost everything they clicked on, and that made me wonder - what is the point of liking posts if you like EVERYTHING you see?

That got me to thinking back to my business statistics class. A simple number will let everyone know:

Number of likes received / Number of likes given

Mine is :

Likes received 510 / Likes given 161 = 3.1677

What's yours?

a better measure is likes per post. i am at .536 likes per post.

Overall; All likes given = all likes received. So that's what I try for.

I dunno. I get a good amount of likes here but my threads never get that much traffic. I feel loved

Likes per post does seem like the best measure. Great idea for a thread...
Not sure where I stand relatively speaking, but I'm at .374 likes/per post.
183 given, 150 received so .824 I tend to "like" most posts that are useful/relevant/funny...

interesting. I tend to use likes as just agreeing with, or actually just really enjoying what someone wrote.

as if to say "I agree, this is my opinion too"

I'm here because I pretty much like a lot of these people. They are funny and kind and interesting for the most part. So I give a lot of likes

I love the warm feeling when I get a like and I hope when I like someone's posts they get that same warm feeling
