Nooooooooooooooooooo................mix ground beef and equal parts chopped bacon and try that. Itll make a big mac cry anyday ;)
I've had many things like that, i've made many kinds of burgers myself, and eaten out at many supposedly top notch burger places. Nope, i'll take a bigmac/double cheese burger form mcdonalds any day :) I do not enjoy real burgers, that is to say big patty's of meat with heaps of onions and cheese and bacon and beef tomatoes etc, i like cheap and simple, and mcdonalds is perfect for me :) My fav comfort food :) It's not what about what is deemed to taste better by general concensus, it's what i prefer.

...not really burger, :)
In what way? It's sold as 100% british beef, and it's not made with pink slime as they call it in the states.

what i have always noticed though from talking to americans, is that there seems to be a big difference between the quality of mcdonalds in the UK to in the states. In the same way that in hong kong mcdonalds is like gourmet cuisine compared to mcdonalds in the UK.

I love mcdonalds, all there is to it :) Only get to eat it about 4 times a year though :(

We've talked about this before, and while I've yet to go to the UK, i have had McDonalds in Germany and Spain and its definitely nothing like the McDonald's we get here in the states..

Anyone watch diners drive in and dives? The bloke annoys me, but god damn that's some good food, and they even go through the process of its making and ingredients which is nice :-)

As someone mentioned above McD's stopped pink slime some time ago (due to bad publicity, not quality concerns). But there are a lot of things at McD's still that will make your stomach turn. Here's a link to an article I've read a couple of years ago in one of my courses at the University about the flavor industry. The article's title mentions McD's but it's not just about them. It's more about the flavor industry, the difference (or lack thereof) between natural flavors and artificial flavors, and little things like the fact that McD's french fries have more animal protein than their burger patties (that pissed some of my vegan friends off, lol). Anyway, read it or don't read it:

Too long for me :-) needless to say I couldn't care less. I eat McDonalds for the same reason I eat breakfast cereal, it tastes awesome, I couldn't care less how nutritious it isn't :-) I adore sweets (candy) which is often no doubt made with hooves and god knows what, some things I just love, and couldn't care for its origin. Pink slim/reconstituted meat doesn't bother me in the slightest. If you kill the animal, use it. If it tastes good, end of debate :-) its not like its all I eat.

Piles of sushi. Mostly nigiri, octopus, 6 mackeral, squid, 4 yellowtail that were like butter, spicy tuna cones, green lips, and seared salmon and eel rolls. The rice was really good today and the seasame seeds were toasted perfectly. Did i see cous cous up there? ^
