we get a fair amount here as well. clouds alot either way though lol, seattle of the east. i plan on just taking the tops off my strains and flowring the snips too sex them. since i had a bad run in with some seeds that wouldnt revert last year. have you done it this way? and if it rains more do you up the nutrients in water or just have too not feed bc of the rain?

How much, and of what brand do you use a season? Just looking for a rough estimate. I can't remember how much I used a couple years ago but it was cases, had 300 plants. I'd like to try Maxsea if I can find away to afford it. If not this year then next year for sure.

no i haven't done that before ,i have flipped them but don't like the down time it takes and if it rains we don't give them any water that is the biggest thing people do is over watering and keeping the dirt too wet

Getaway,

Just when I was about to give up hope a few of my old seeds finally cracked. I'd been trying a few at a time but as soon as they cracked they seemed to run out of energy. Well last night I checked and found that one actually put out a root so I put it in soil last night and this morning its up an inch, still has the seed shell on it but its up! Got it in a window with the sun beating down hoping its got enough energy left after 4 years to pop the shell off and start to photosynthesis.

That's the problem with old seeds, they only have so much stored energy and after time that energy depletes. They need enough stored energy to start a root, crack the seed shell, grow a tap root, and finally pop the shell off. If it survives long enough to do all that the green lip like starter leaves will start to photosynthesize and power the seedling into producing the first solar panel leaves.

I know from experience when they are as weak and fragile as this one is trying to help pop off the shell will more than likely kill it. The root it put out was pretty feeble, not like yours when they are bright white and strong and healthy.

This little seedling represents a back cross of BC Bud Depot's The Purps X Northern Lights (from 1990) which I named CRAZYHORSE, it is a female created by grow-room sabotage, somebody played with a timer and altered the light cycle causing budding plants to hermaphrodite.

I know this sound stupid to get excited about a tiny weakling seedling but I thought I had lost these genetics forever so if there's a chance to nurse it back and keep the strain alive I'm delighted this morning!

PS. I know that you know about seeds, I give out info sometimes for others who read our posts, for the newbies. I'm not trying to teach you, after all, I consider you to be one of my many teachers, Your the Swamp Master! lol

Update: The sun's warmth was just what it needed, it opened up and popped off the seed shell and its going to live!

The Return of Crazyhorse!

(I know, I'm not all there, see what happens when you quit smoking herb for 3 years)

Any Suggestions on how to get all of the promix wet when you are in a secluded area and plan on carrying in dry bales? maybe bring them out a couple weeks early cut the bails out of the bag and let em soak the water? bc from what ive seen with just wetting the promix when its bone dry it will take me 10 runs of water just to get them wet too be ready for transplant.?Unfort i cant leapfrog the water like you bc i bucket bomb from a pond. also you dont add anything to the promix? for ph purpose? I Plan On Going With the Neptunes Harvest It Has Trace n Micro. and some pottasium but nothing like your seaweed juice with everything. I think The earth juice should make up for that lack of majors in my seaweed Juice. they also have a dry seaweed.(same seaweed you use i believe). maybe i could brew my own (SeaWeedTea)SWT with this?

ya we take promix in long before any plants go in and place them where plants will be going just put where ya want them before cutting them open . and yes ya can make a seaweed tea from dried seaweed ,thats what most do we use fresh whole seaweed right from the ocean and use 150 lbs to each barrell ( 40 gallons water ) and then bubble it for 30 days before it is fully fermented and it is really concentrated and strong

Hey Getaway- CHeck out my WonderChunk (Wonderwoman x Chocolate Chunk) I just cracked another batch to keep the strain fresh......Keep in mind these are East Cost plants...as you know in Cali we can easily grow 2,3,4+lb ladies but on the east cost it can be tricky because of the weather....The best I have done on the East is a 1.75 lb monster swiss cheese plant..
