yeah cootz liked the bio ag / fulvic . I thought it was redundant. even though its organic, adding so many acids , I wasn't to thrilled to try.. Cann and headtreep and rising moon wouldn't do compost teas so that was their way of adding humus / humic plus topdressing ewcGood call hyroot I forgot to mention neem meal is in my mix too. It is expensive and I don't use much but I got a decent deal from KIS organics. Coot was big on soluble humic/fulvic wasnt he? That is why I bought it but I use it extremely sparingly.
Thanks psu, this grow has been somethin.. definitely gonna be a seasonal area, right now i am trying out keeping the big ass heater on outside the open "vent" on the tent, WITH lights on its been 61*......... (for two days, and next week we are supposed to get some thick snow. again. Of course that 2 day warm up was just a tease... unbelievable,I think your mix is solid scotch, yeah letting cook is key ===three months is because of the cold environment; summer way faster turn around................I was eyeing up one of those electric cement mixers at home depot!! just a dream for now though
Only amendments I might add would be the agsil 16h, and bioag fulpower(best humic on the market)......and I really dislike adding any feather/blood meal
^^^ nice grow btw
I was worried about my Azomite being so large? Should I of ground any up to help? Gets me wondering about when I need to reamend.. how much less do you add compared to the initial mix?Adding humic bio ag is pointless if you have ewc and compost / humus. Its the same thing.
for me I'm doing the vegan mix, kelp meal, neem meal, rock dust. Then ewc. Seed sprout teas and compost teas.
Thanks for the insight E, still hard for me to accept the GS name...ha! I loved the old avatar.. Hope you are doing well. I figured Id let the pots set for about a month (right around the SLH chop) and then transplant whatever is up to par to take on the 5 gal's.. with how things are looking, Im gonna be busier than a Green Santa in 'nada! hahaha So hopefully things will break down enough, I may drench in that bennie tea to speed things up if people are in agreement? Any other ways?it depends how cold, i had my most recent batch sitting outside for less than a month and its snowing outside right now and this morning i used some and I could see the white fuzz on it, I really dont think you have to wait 3 months also if you are going to veg them the soil will still cook in the tent.
No I feel you! I thought about it when I had mixed mine up but the camera was too far away! Kinda bummed I didn't get a pic but I was cold, busy and ready to get the job done lol.Hah yea it is surprising that I felt compelled to take a picture of the dirt and share it. That is a good question about drainage. I use buckets with only one tiny little of drain hole, the idea being I try not overwater and it reduces humidity and conserves nutrient. So I guess the amount of aeration you need could depend on what you are growing in and your watering style. When I first made my soil mix I got perlite and pumice from the Root Organic but I added granular diatomaceous earth which I got from Napa and Walmart sometimes sells it as cat litter in bags for 99 cents.
I agree with avoiding feather meal. I was using Epsoma bio tone for awhile (now I question the organic-ness of Epsoma) and it has feather meal which is a slow release nitrogen. I am not sure if it is strong enough to interfere with the plants finishing on time and causing foxtailing.
Good call hyroot I forgot to mention neem meal is in my mix too. It is expensive and I don't use much but I got a decent deal from KIS organics. Coot was big on soluble humic/fulvic wasnt he? That is why I bought it but I use it extremely sparingly.
Possibly, it will take a while to break down.. Then if you do rols you should be good for the next 2 -3 batches on azomite. I sprinkle a layer across the top of the soil. along with other nutes. Then top dress with ewc.. then waterI was worried about my Azomite being so large? Should I of ground any up to help? Gets me wondering about when I need to reamend.. how much less do you add compared to the initial mix?
I had a clone of goji og. turned out to be fake and a hermie.. I got quantum kush. I will say out of all the tga gear I got. The quantum kush was the hardest to sprout. All the other ones were no problem.Been pretty busy lately, got the x3 clones of my buddy's of Fruity Chronic Juice, received my order from Attitude a week from ordering- thank you. BUT only got 5 of my 10 Ace of Spades, been emailing them for 3 days now, getting a refund but want to know how since I paid off the order's balance the day after I placed the order. D-wipes..... I have an update for the PCC but will have to throw it up tonight or tomorrow, just got em germed but I decided on Space Queen and I think they're gonna rock it under my 4250k panels or the SGS, I haven't figured out with space and strains yet, but by the update I will have my mind made up. I was going to do the Ace of Spades since I only recieved 5, but I think the SQ is the least I "care" about, and I can keep the pollen from the males and used for crossing? (seems like alot of TGA gear is with SQ anyways... this is just my way of justifying tossing the gen's.) The two SLH seeds I have going are doing great, think they will be flipped when the Cup sprouts.
As soon as I clear out the current SLH in the AT tent I think the FCJ clones should be doing well, and that might give me room to plant two more in 5 gal's (or hydro if too soon?), could either be the pennywise, or ace of spades, shit... i still have SLH to still go through, and a GSC!! Which is the better girl scout cookies btw?
Also,
Gogi OG
Quantum Kush
Sour Kush
Royal Kush 7
Ill get some pics up in the next couple days! Hope you all are doing well!
Thanks puff I hope you are doing well brother! I need to set down and run through what each strain is and pick em out.Looks like a nice order to me. White lavender sounds like the one I'm most interested in.
Kudos on the grow and diy build. Everything is looking great
I know it! I about missed it myself, even with the email from- I woke up, did my thing like usual... and eneded up ordering minutes before I was walking in to work. (no phones -_- )Damnnnn If I didnt already have freebees and strains out the ying yang I wouldve jumped on that promo myself!
Thanks hyroot- I was waiting on that JillyBean, after I saw a couple other strains coming back in stock, I knew it had to eventually.. hearing how common TGA is at legal dispensaries pushes me away a tad though... always want something to set apart from the crowd, not to mention if I had "waited," dont have to risk ordering se3ds. O well, hopefully they make it through customs and get here. Still plenty id like to order though....Nice strains, colorful frosty buds, soil mix, DIY pfr, all looks good.
Hahaha thank you Fly, means a lot... really. I was stoked to see the fuzz grown! going on three weeks cooking! only ~7 mnore to go... gahhhhhh... lol. Naw, lets me sex all these seeds.I too jumped on the attitude promo!! I got the TH anniversary box that comes with 6 strains, plus the TH promo of critical hog auto critical and auto northern hog plus attitude promo! I believe thats over 15 strains for 200$ cant beat that.
Looking forward to those autos in my veggie garden!
Brother scotch, i got a tear when i read ur update on organics.. Im soo proud of you and your journey to organics, hopefully one day u will look back and say, why the fuck havent i done this years ago!!
As for the current batch, if your not using it, put it back in a compost pile and keep it moist, keep adding them teas to speed things up, the white mycelium is good! Signs of life! Just keep in mind time is everythingg in organics, if problems happen, its more then likely the batch isnt ready, i would advise to use a clone u dont care about and test to see how she grows.
Last comment, if u can, skip the 5 gallons and smaller pots, for better results and less hassel, u will need 10+ gallons, i say 30 gallons is ideal.
Btw ur current run looks beautiful, love the purple hues
Im emo at times, more in touch with my feminin sideFlyhi are you emo lol.... I'd love to do 10 gals too. I can fit enough in the veg. I'm down grading to 5 gal myself..
I actually dont mind autos, its just hard finding a good quality auto, im getting them because they are freebies and have room in my veggie garden.Hahaha thank you Fly, means a lot... really. I was stoked to see the fuzz grown! going on three weeks cooking! only ~7 mnore to go... gahhhhhh... lol. Naw, lets me sex all these seeds.
Glad you hopped on that promo too! I shoulda stocked up one last time and gotten a few others, could've gotten a couple more promos if I really wanted. you're running autos? What in the heck, what do you want an auto for man!? Surely im missin somethin.... I just like "the idea" of controlling the photoperiod in it's own.
I do wanna doulbe check myself on some things if you wouldn't mind helping me brother. It is okay to add teas to the cooking mix, with the mycelium growing? Would the water/tea disrupt the growth of the fuzz? its just spores right(?)- worth breedings those bennies? I will start brewing one tonight if thats the case.... I have not added any thing besides the amendments at the mix to it...... just stored since then. (the condensation is probably from the high RH, should that be a concern?) And we don't flush in all natural organics, right? >>only for salts.
What do think im growing a jungle in here? I may order some 10's for the 3x3' but my 5 gals just barely fit in the cabs. TG. The larger pots work great for no till? I've considered doing no till... but got steered back when I read planting next to the roots.. I think I have enough mix to cycle back and forth?
I hope you are all doing well, thank you for the kind words- this run was not anything special but it is all about the quality and experience. I am stoked to run this Fruity Chronic- when I had first smoked it, it had the taste of Gods, years later I still drool, and that damn thing is just stack-stack-stack, node to node. Gonna take some veg time. After this run I will be outty. Need to shut down some things for peace of mind. I will still be around, hopefully you nimrods will be able to pick up on where I went off to. Ill be back to do the AT some justice, and giving my ignorant input where "needed" haha.
be SAFE everybody!
Where do u get seeds for that price?? Let a brotha kno, im abouts to order someEnzymes will break down everything faster than compost teas. And part of a well balanced diet lol.. Just do seed sprout tea's for enzymes. Cheap and easy. You can buy barley seed or mung beans at $1-$2 a pound. You only need 2 oz (1/4cup) for a 5 gal tea. I bought 3 lbs. Over 2 months ago and still have plenty. Directions are at the beginning of my thread or early on in the ROLS thread. Aside from more enzymes than any bottle or other method. Plenty of sugars and minerals are in sst's too. The mung beans which I use (can't find unhulled barley) provide all minerals for the most part. Nitrogen, phos, potassium, magnesium, magnanese, calcium, zinc, sulfur, copper, iron......
I just grab mung beans from sprouts market out the bins. $1.99 a pound. Unhulled barley seeds are hard to find. I'm going to try a couple feed stores when I run out.Where do u get seeds for that price?? Let a brotha kno, im abouts to order some
