Yup kelp and alafalfa are some of the main ingrdiants we use.
Hyroot said it well.

As for the water only remark, i would say if your trying to keep it simple, you would have to always add cocowater and aloe every watering, i would advise not to just use plain RO water. For better results you would have to get In The habit of preparing all sorts of teas or botanicals ahead of time.

And as for the blood meal and bone meal, and i believe u said greensand, those are all good, however they are potent and can take forever for them to actually start working. I hope u used little of this stuff, if u used alot then cut with more compost and or soil. OR allow more time to compost/cook, Trust me

DAWG! My man! thank you, really cool J decided to implement that lower setting (keep up with comp. [bonsaihero]), hopefully that adjustment was in preparation for the new '14-15 (whatever ha...) models. Heard that it will be XPG2's and XPE2's a while back..? More White+Red? Or has there been more efficient cree's released since then? (Psu's dream panel hahhaa..., forget what cree- the xml's?)
Nope As Far As I Know The XPG2'S And XPE2'S Are What Going Into The New Sgs.:bigjoint:

Alfalfa will give tip burn , so be careful with it Scotch. Blood/bone meal is not necessary IMO and a nasty byproduct.

Greensand takes years to become effective ^^^^ and would also leave it out to save $$. BUT ROLS is a long term plan, so it's up to you.

Not a huge peat fan, but it is better than cocco for our organic purposes.

fucking snow sucks........thanks for the blizzard!!

My dream panel is 100% WW Cree mk-r=== pricey mofos.........I hear EH is busy building it for me;-)

I never got burn from alafla, i use it in most og my teas, and occasional top dress, never had leaf burn, maybe alot causes that.

I've gotten burn from alfalfa topdressing. I only use it in teas and never get burns with teas. Its like neem meal. A little goes along way. Too much can burn unless you are cooking it in soil.

Hey I just wanted to thank every one again, even those who dont know, I have taken something from just about everything I have read.

Im probably going to cut the greensand then, if I plan on getting agsil. I am still a little shady on the "instant" and slow release ferts', maybe a list is buried around here somewhere..

I want to keep things as simple as possible, I have no problem prepping tea's, I would prefer powders... but you gotta do what you gotta do. Eggshells, dandys, maybe even aloe.. listen to me... LISTEN! :spew:

Psu thank you for the insight, I thought I had read some one not using bone or blood meal in another thread, is fish meal on that list too? Sorry for my ignorance.. I had only used a "shot glass" to ~14 full solo cup of Bone Meal from Epsoma (a lot of Calcium and Potash if I rem..) to my compost/ewc/perlite Fly,

Yes... that was really my units of measurement... I haven't figured out the best units of measurements, I just know that a 5 gallon bucket is 7.5 cu ft. HA! man... you gotta start somewhere, right?

Id use the Alfalfa in the mix and try and make sure it cooks for 3-4 weeks. Speaking of, my soil is smelling very sweet, good or bad? :/ I did saturate it with the heisenburg tea, I was kind of worried, but its the only 'tea' I know by heart.

Psu! I cant even believe you're trying to blame me for this weather, fucking singing snow jingles in the other room...really!? Why don't you go do a raindance instead?! ...Ill bring the heaters, and green will bring the sun!

MKr's thats it! Still haven't look at the specs... I was real heavy there for a minute, If I wasn't so stingy Id throw up that LEDengine gold mine of a link guod gave us a while back hahaha.. That guy!

Dawg thanks for confirming, Im gonna set back and wait for em. Should be another great panel that delivers! Now I've gotta hit my boy chroni back, and hop on that convert thread before I go do some res changes

MAY upload pics, we'll see. Be safe everyone! O and psu.. thanks, the forecast just went from 7-9",

...It is gonna be a long one, hoping if we ARE gonna get this snow.. that we go into "red" alert, and work is called. AT LEAST gimme that...

going good, just gave them a res change of nothing but:

STRAIGHT R/O now,
Dyna Bloom (~35ml)
Protekt (~30ml)
FulPower, (20ml)

Cut the calmag, but leave the 8ppm RO and replace the calcium till week 5-6, then reintroduce..

Came out to ~680ppm

We have trichs!! so no more foliars from here on out. I said no more training, but the ladies are getting lanky in areas and they need to be even.. thoughts on how I should "cascade" the canopy? Pyramid, or Valley? Ha, that shold have been my poll. Fucking genetics... btw, thats been put even further on hold.

Ordered x2 GG Filters, "flanges," and a pack of prefilters very good customer service, I had emailed them and asked for a coupon, even stated "Greedy?" and he laughed and agreed, as a consumer- he may have asked too. Very personable.

He also made it a point to contact me and make sure I had my order in before 4pm (which I hadnt... but luckily left the page open on the desktop) and offered an extension (sounds like he really wants the advertising, and I dont blame him!), got a shipping email for both packages the next day.

Good Business. 5 stars in Customer Service and Product Delivery. Now we wait...

You guys remember how I just said the left side was taking lead over the right? well, the right bitch's mustve heard me... kiss-ass

Thank you brother, things seem to be going alright- I am officially letting them grow now. looking like the outside tops are going to set higher than the center,

but thats alright.. Stadium that shit! maybe host my own Superbowl..

The AT is great, I am trying to find a reason to get another honestly ha! TIll I move up theres no space, (x2 AT200's inside a 3x3 @ 30 some inches would fuck something up.. hahahhah.) I want to stretch the coverage boundaries, then I can find where my preference for "the fall-off.." is, hopefully find that sweet spot.

I know puff was contemplating the amount of light he was running, but to be straight up out of the gate- I am concerned about density falling short past <300umol, but I want to know results and there is only one way! (700vs.500vs.300umol), ((EDIT: this sounds like I don't have faith, trust me, this is the best panel for the job that I have ran, just curious how the 250umo range is going to come out.))

But I think a HUGE player into this, is Transpiration and our friends Stomata, you and I have talked about the couple degrees being a huge game changer for leds, G. (HID comes with PLENTY of radiant heat.. igh..)

But if I can keep temps up, circulate that air, and keep the metabolic functions going at full speed... one panel might just be all we need.

Update sounds good, just got to ride out thr flower cycle.

I just ordered 4 xgs190 for 1950, not bad huh? Hope these all white leds will do the job.

have u though about documenting your soon to be organic grow? Have you ever though about doing a comparison? Would be nice to see dont ya think?

Man thats a sweet little deal you got there.. congratulations! Im really curious about those panels bruv, I JUST realized they had 3-settings.

I will be keeping track of the orgi's, I have my little calendar book that I live by. I dont want to make any promises, but I may do a public comparison. Of course Im doing myself a comparison with the SLH keepers, but maybe others would appreciate it...

That being said, if anyone has requests that are relative to the thread or have an idea, feel free to speak up and I will do what I can.

I will post a review at some point or another about GreenGator, help them out as best I can, I havent even REALLY looked at the fitlers, took out of the box(es) and put it right back in. Did get a cool hat I cant ever wear though, "Hey! What GreenGator?" Yea... I can see how that one will go..

..and a beer coozie ill use ALL the time. :eyesmoke:

Now Fly... if I throw up this comparison thing... you gonna toss up your plasma vs. xgs(')? ;-)

I am really excited for Puffs' comparisons too! trying to figure out how I wanna vote... God we should all start at it! 'root yah in!? ahahah.

Yea, I may start a separate thread for the organics.. may throw it up over there, though most of my brethren are soil mix growers anyways.. not sure yet.

Is it a bad idea to run Geopots year-round? Too high of temps? Thinking about ordering everything up soon so I can stick that shit in the oven!

Do you guys let the mix dry out as it cooks or add if it needs moisture? Dumb q/a, I think so... dro brain tells me yes, keep it wet. :hump: :bigjoint:

EDIT: and my brother chroni told me earlier, microbes need moisture, duh... disregard that last one. ha! thanks guys!

I am slacking. Plain and simple, I know it..

GEDC0364.jpg

..It's alright though, kids are doing great, dont really have anything serious to point out... cooler temps might make a 'pretty' journal as the lady'd call it... ha. Id like to see some maroon out of this batch, too much yellow from the mums on a heavy flush, but plenty of purple. Little bit of tip burn, but nice and perky, starting to fill out. Well, yea, here...

I am a little concerned of the uneven stretch in the center of the screens, it is leaving behind a good majority of the tops I trained at "screen level," they may catch up later but if anyone has input it is welcomed.

We started working on our baby trichs a week or so ago, transitioning from the green to the tangy considerably in the past 5 days. remember, I stunted em for about 5 days there at the beginning of 12/12 and the short Day Cycle gave me some stretch I was really not trying to deal with... but things should settle down less than 12" above the screen... thinking only another 5-7 days of stretch

GEDC0369.jpg GEDC0370.jpg

Apache Shots^^ See the considerable difference in the amount of even tops from the last update? This is pushing me towards continuing training on these select few 'loner tops,' then again I dont feel like cutting out of my netting.

GEDC0372.jpg GEDC0375.jpg GEDC0380.jpg GEDC0381.jpg

You can see they are dark with a little bit of tip burn, I had been letting the res drop too low there a couple times and I think the salinity took a spike,

GEDC0384.jpg GEDC0386.jpg GEDC0387.jpg GEDC0389.jpg GEDC0391.jpg GEDC0393.jpg

It is gonna be Shiny Show, ol' fran gave me a heads up when I first nabbed up SLH... Frost City. Definitely not dialed-in, but they'll survive and I this will bide me some space for the PCC and time to Seed some others.

Theyll get res changes tomorrow night at light's On, ~650ppm, reintroducing the Bot. Cal/Mag+ till week the end of week 5.

Ever feel like youve been a negative nancy lately? geesh... cool it scotch, fuckin hard ass... :finger:

GEDC0320.jpg

But there is not a damn thing to be negative about!! Life is GOOD! Know why..? The ol' lady not only gave me the clear to order a new batch of seeds, but instigated the idea. Though it will be some time out, I am just stoked her and I are once again, on the same page.. for now. We have the boy's first birthday around the corner and you know she is all over matching and NOTHING is reasonably priced out.. why would it be?! If it is its just not right, lol. for pucks sake.......

Went down to give a res change tonight, (water's frozen, fucking thanks psu..... so, THAT didnt happen..) but I did notice I never plugged the water heaters back in after the last change.... SWEET!

No, I dont want serious stunting... I just want enough to F with me! :wall: but my Ambient Temps are right where I want them to stay... was so happy to see this at lights on!

GEDC0321.jpg
I WILL be hooking up that filter this next res change, tis the season... :leaf: (not to point out teetering RH)

I am still training, may be stupid but I have a lot of growth just above the screen, I would say a good half of my tops, and they are being shaded by the other half-layer's sugar leaves, so you will see some leaves that are not completely removed to let their neighbor get a view too. Ill try to separate pics before and after I wreak havoc.

GEDC0322.jpgGEDC0323.jpg
GEDC0325.jpgGEDC0353.jpg

Trichs are kicking right up the leaves, I am letting most of the growth go and stack up, but there are some center tops pulled back through and redirected, this will be a big test to see which style I personally prefer w/ this enviro. id enjoy the whole cascading stadium effect with this light's footprint.... :baked:

GEDC0329.jpgGEDC0330.jpgGEDC0331.jpgGEDC0327.jpg

GEDC0335.jpgGEDC0343.jpgGEDC0341.jpgGEDC0344.jpg

GEDC0345.jpgGEDC0347.jpg

GEDC0355.jpgGEDC0354.jpg

A few under halfway there... shooting harvest just under 10 weeks, you can see the considerable difference in tops since the past days' stretch, bout half.

Be safe everyone! and fucking stay warm........

(puff, I didnt get that bottle from OG- I got it for $12 at a store about an hour away! HA! found it at OG though... christ is that shit good...)

If you guys have any insight on Vapes too I would love to see what products are working best... I am no longer looking for a modular piece, but I definitely would not mind one on the go too...

telling you what her evil sister Cathy came to visit this past week and threw that shit out tha window.. Ima let em know the Dr. Dawg suggested the remedy. Thanks for the vape link too!

I've been looking at silver surfer vapes as my likely purchase. A little pricey compared to others but looks like quality and can be custom made. There's a crap load of vapes out there so it's tough finding a really nice one.
http://silversurfervap.com/index.php
Thanks puff! the idea of a lifetime warranty is VERY appealing, I havent been able to up the indiegogo's site and look at them yet, but I do really like the features on the surfer's... I think I paid around 2 for my NO2 and honestly, I would pay double that if I could get rid of carcinogens, and stick with it from here on out...... it is getting easier and easier.

Looking good as always Scotch. I love when them triches start creeping over everything. Looking like jack frost.
Thanks Cherry, I try not to contaminate TOO many threads letting em know im subbed- but you know Im getting down on your new run. 4.5 off a gallon container, pttttttsh! ;) cool shit brother. Trichs are still going, I love this time of year...seeing em start to stand up off the stems/leaves, getting that big ol "noggin," I will provide some macro's at the end of harvest, gonna shoot a little more amber than last round, harvested probably 3 days too soon.

I did orient the AT200 "wide-ways" in the tent today, went down and the kids are taking off, no update but tomorrow will be 5 weeks 12/12 (literally about half way there... ha, worst part of the year....) it makes sense to have the panel run long ways with the scrogs, but I want to take measurements tonight when I get back and see what difference in coverage im giving, I may even start alternating every couple days unless someone has some insight.

I keep trying to bring the AT down to 24", and every time I catch myself taking it back to 26-28" (26 right now), yes... it is that much of a difference.. :bigjoint: but not too huge of a flux in intensity (given the amount of coverage you gain...,)

updates probably this weekend, and that filter is getting rigged up on this next res change- I swear. RH is becoming a "real" concern.
