I would have to have 10 warehouses to work 40 + hrs a week. lol
Well when you get squeezed out while others are successful you'll have no one to blame but yourself.

The people who aren't getting pushed out are the ones putting in that kind of effort.

I can grow as many strawberries as I want and sell them to the neighbors or at the farmers market with no body caring, What's the difference .
If you sell $5000 worth of strawberries every month without a permit you're running an illegal business.

Of course the best progress for all of man kind is to stop putting growers of cannabis in jail...a simple fine should be handed out such as a speeding ticket.
Only time will tell if this ever happens(not)

I could do this and is in my plans and has been a goal. I just don't know how .....................

there is taxes on produce ? but my neighbors would want more weed.....lol
To play with in the rules it would be only just to add a state tax to our weed...just turn it in at the local prison to help pay the unemployment fees for the layoff coming their way

Breed some seeds. Make some edibles. Grow more bud. Make some concentrates. Doesn't matter. Just step it up or get left behind.

You need a brand and a product line or you need to be able to supply such a large variety of bud that you're an invaluable part of the system. Be creative. But do it now. Now is the time. Do something before it's too late and you find yourself on the outside looking in.

And no, you shouldn't be able to grow as much as you want without regulations. You're not entitled to your own tax free unregulated business. You should be entitled to grow as much as you need for personal use, not commercially. If you want to be a commercial grower than you should be subject to rules just like any other business in America. Why are you entitled to more than what a strawberry farmer is entitled to?
I have no problem following the rules and regulations -- in fact I'm moving to a county that has a specific ordinance passed so that I know what will be expected -- what I do have a problem with is when the rules are set up specifically to make it too difficult to do on a larger scale because of the influence of the anti-cannabis folks want to use the rules to block it or the larger players who want to keep the competition out. As long as it's fair and reasonable I don't have a problem. That is not usually the case when the rules end up getting set up -- entrenched interests often get what they want. I hope whatever is eventually passed in terms of regulating growing is fair and enforced state wide, and not left up to counties to block through things like over restrictive zoning ordinances like they have now in most counties. The rules where I'm moving to are fair enough for me.

This is exactly why I'm setting up now because I see California as the next Colorado & Washington only bigger. I just hope I have time to get things going and build infrastructure and a pile of cash to invest before the restrictive regulations that are bound to come eventually do. I'll be working my normal job for a while (at least until the first harvest or two) + doing a large scale grow and making it work, although I will have some help :) Growing cannabis is my passion. My entire life I've done things people thought were crazy that I felt passionately about and when that passion's there I've made it happen. My goal isn't to get rich just be able to make a good living doing what I love but I think going big like Dan is talking about is what it's going to take to survive legalization doing this as a living rather than a hobby. It's certainly what every person who's been doing it seriously that I've seen seems to be doing. Everyone's getting ready for it... it's in the air... only question is 2014 or 2016. Selfishly I hope it's 2016 so I'll have time to really get my thing going, but stopping people being put in jail and lives ruined is the #1 cause always.

The thing about these restrictions is which they are very restrictive, they are not insurmountable. It's not about how much money you have, it's about how much effort you're willing to put into it. Who ever cares the most wins. I've beat out multimillion dollar organizations simply because I was willing to put more of my time and energy into it. If you're unwilling to give up then it's impossible to be beaten.

Regulations IMO are good because they weed out all the lowlifes. While not all lazy people are scumbags, all scumbags are lazy. If a permit process requires a lot of effort, they won't do it. They are just looking to make a quick buck. Our system of unpermitted limited immunity for commercial cannabis has led to a large amount of scumbags in the business. It's a plague that needs to be eliminated. The cure is more regulations. If that means I have to do more work and apply for more permits, fine. This industry needs to be cleaned up. Ask any honest person in the business and they'll tell you the same thing.

In a perfect world individuals should be free to grow what ever they want but commercial cannabis should be heavily regulated IMO.

This is exactly why I'm setting up now because I see California as the next Colorado & Washington only bigger. Act quickly or lose your opportunity. But if you're willing to work harder than the others around you then you'll be successful. Like I said, who ever cares the most wins.
