nice runs all. yes you can make into hash now or just smoke it but taking it into hash is way better. but time is needed.

Hey Frenchy,

He is my latest run. Green Crack Trim and Larf. This is the first batch that I bought jars for Curing... Man I wish I would have done this for every single run. It has such a powerful aroma when you open the jar.

My 73 came out like sand and barely holds together while the 45 stays as a nice clump. Any reason why it would do this>???

Also I was thinking about pressing them together. Do you think this is okay or leave them separate and press separate?

you see all the green plant matter? it takes time to burn it up and use it. 3 months is really a good cure but some like it to be a year or more.
dont think it will make it that far but i should have some nicely cured cannolis by spring;)

When processing this hash, is there a general rule for "thickness", is it better to roll it out flat, then cannoli it or can it be cured in a chunk?

watching frenchy he roles it out about 4-5 times then makes cannoli shapes. he knows when its ready. we have to learn that. then cure it, he is the man.

View attachment 3029002Question, When I made several runs, I cleaned each bag (160;73; and 45) in 91 % alcohol, and within 2 days all of the alcohol had evaporated and left some great smelling hash? can this be safely used (smoked)? Picture is from 73 bag first run , not the evaperated hash
I would have guess that much by the quality of it my friend. I would not smoke the oil left after evaporation but eat it most definitely. You have to cover up or bottle up your used alcohol if you want to reuse it. I also wash the oil with Everclear after evaporation of the ISO to be on the "cleaner side"

Awesome run my friend. When you keep in jar with the idea of curing you want to leave the minimum of air, oxygen degrade so as little as possible. As you do with flowers.
I cannot say why your 45 is looking less sandy than your 73 but the texture of the trichomes is not an indication of its quality but of its heritage
