Thanks.. ;)
Ok, this is basically what I have going on "shotgun" fruiting chamber.. I made a hole in the side of the tote box for the reptile fogger. Im sure I will need to add the pop bottles to aid in catching the extra condensation. :??: Honestly I have noticed a tad bit more "humidity" in there then I would like.. If I let the fogger run for hours on end I have noted little puddles of water that's accumulated. You think the pop bottles would work as a "filter" :??: Like maybe 2 in a line. I was thinking that where I have "grain" & cakes both I could just score some of those hospital pans, pour my grain into those, cover with he medium and sit into the fruiting chamber :??: Not trying to go against any grain by far ;) just trying to figure out what approach would work better for me where I have the BRF+V cakes & grain .. lol Thanks 4 your help in this though.. Much appreciated..
Dank,

I liked that post above....it nailed your problem, that you are drenching
your efforts. I have used both passive and active humidification and a
repti-fogger is a great addition, on a cycle-timer, but the best type of
humidifier for mushroom growing is probably the "impellor type".

BUT, probably the best approach, esp for those learning, is the
Shotgun Fruiting Chamber.

This is basically what the other poster suggested, in that it relies on perlite,
but you really will need air flow if you are going to avoid mold.

--> Take a clear tote and drill 1/4" holes, very 2", on *all six sides*, and
fill it will well moistened perlite.

That is it. Place your blocks/cakes on foil squares on the perlite and
mist the sides of the chamber if it gets dry where you are.

That is the safest/best fruiting chamber there is, IMHO.

Hmmmm....if you are using a SGFC, then you should not need the
repti-fogger at all. I am suggesting that you try turning it off for
a week to see how that does.

Or at least put it on a cycle timer and only let it run for a minute every
half hour or so.

Good luck,

JD

Ok cool deal.. Yeah I had been cranking it up.. lol I think if I add the pop bottles as filters, then put it on a timer like you said that should do it.. I have holes drilled into the sides to let out extra humidity, plus airlines ran with an air pump pushing 45 lps in there, so hopefully we will see some kinda growth here soon.. lol How long usually does it take to see growth after a cake is birthed :??:

Cool beans.. ;) I have 1 more question.. Well wait 2.. Sorry I lied.. lol 1. for the jars that I used "grain" in, I was told to "shake" the jars after seeing growth. Well I did and that growth broke up into dime sized balls.. Haven't seen any spreading recently.. :??: 2. How long should it take to see growth after birthing a cake :??: Thanks again bro..

Thanks for adding the ventilation advice JD. I just lifted the lid once or twice a day for 5 minutes and misted the drip shield once a day. I never had a mold problem.

Dankster, it sounds like your setup will work but I would keep the temps lower. Like 75-80 and take JD's advice to put the fogger on a timer it is possible to overdo humidity and might help with temps if the fogger is putting out heat. I only used cakes from jars without further colonization so no experience to add on the plans for your medium. It does sound like it will work based on what I can remember reading. Good luck

Morning.. Thanks bro.. Just been a little aggravated not being able to get a straight answer on how/why whats going on with the Shrooms.. I was thinking about just getting a few of those hospital pans, then layer with my medium, then pour the grains/WBS/Popcorn, even out, then cover that with a thin layer of the medium, then just sit that down into my fruiting chamber :??: Also, maybe you'll know this :??: With my WBS jars, ok when I shook them, they had some growth on the bottom, well all that split up into these dime sized balls. :??: Is that normal :??: Thanks for the tip on dropping the temps. Just hard to get it dialed in just right..

Thanks  It's like the longer she (K.A.S.I.) goes, the more purple she gets.. ;) and with he Shrooms, sheww.. What a headache.. lol It would be ok if there was just one easy way/instructions on how to get er done.. But there is SOOOooo many mixed methods, and all that, it just makes it hard to get/do it the correct way. lol Hopefully I will get the hang of it..

Thanks bro.. It's all good.. Hopefully I will get it under wraps here soon ;) lol I sure know I need to smoke up now.. lol And it's just 8 am... haha

OK cool.. Yeah I have a reptile fogger ran to a big ass tote for my fruiting chamber.. Was thinking about just letting my jars that's filled with WBS & Popcorn colonize fully, then pour that into a sterile hospital pan with my medium in it, then sit that into the tote to fruit under that environment.. :??: Think that would work :??:

Thanks bro.. Yeah the Green Crack is that one I am running in my side by side grow https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/768184-dank-other-growers-side-side.html She sure is smelling super good and fruity.. I crossed her x's an OG.. So I am just waiting for the seeds to mature up a tad before taking her.. ;)
So in other words, what sounded like a piece of cake actually isn't huh? ;) well no matter, I got faith in ya, you'll figure it out! So what is the harvest window on those there shrooms? Nice bowl btw ;)

Hey Dank check out the fermentation chamber I posted in my journal for DC. I've built one and it works uber slick..

2 early :??: say what!! Oh come on bro.. just hit it once with me.. Let's get good and stoned... haha ;)

Thanks bro.. Yeah, the fogger doesn't push out any type of heat, just what a humidifier would is all. I went ahead and dropped the temp to 74 on the water heater. So inside the top tote it's staying right around 72 high 74. OH! I also went ahead and added a "pop bottle" to the fogger system, hoping that will aid in catching the extra humidity. From what I can tell thus far it seems to be working nice..

dank nice pipe. ill be buying some glass this summer. who do you get your glass from?
Thanks bro.. I scored this one from http://www.smoke-nut.com/ they had a sale on that one I scored. They sent me the bubbler, a sneak a toke cig, grinder, + screens all for 20$ + S/H.. so not bad all in all.. I really like the bubbler allot though! Hits super good, and burns the tree nice and slow..

Oh I knew it wouldn't be a piece of cake. lol I can say though it's way more advanced then just growing tree's. You have to keep an eye on them allot more so vs growing ganja. Oh well, I like that "keeping me on my toes" kinda work.. Im sure I will get the hang of it.. ** Speaking of Shrooms... I have yet to even SEE you on my "Dark side of the moon" thread ;( whats up with that :??: Or even my new thread https://www.rollitup.org/nutrients/819553-moab-mother-all-blooms-vs.html it's all good, I see how you are.. :fire: lol just razzing you..

Uhh.. Did I miss the strain names :??: lol which is what bro :??: Looking good as always..
