Risk being banned? What were you banned for before? And I agree 100% with what it says on the blog/book. Defoliation is a big time no-no unless the leaf is crispy and FULL ON dead. Double edged sword for me since, I live in a VERY DRY area, so I don't need to worry too much about fungus, but at the same time, my plants are never super fond of 15% humidity levels.
 
I never understood why someone would do this.
You don't take the engine out of your car before you plan to drive it do you ?

Just downgraded your energy conversion factor from a V8 to like a 3 cyl.
 
Defoliation is not necessary, thats basically what these guys are saying. Not to mention, even for people who do like to defoliate, there is no reason to do so on plants that small. I like to lolipop my plants but i do it slightly different. I trim off lower budsites that i know will be tiny popcorn, but i KEEP ALL THE LEAVES.
 
Some people act before thinking, or think incorrectly due to bad information from some noob who dispenses advice before they know what they're talking about.
Fucking overnight experts.
 
In over 40 years of growing cannabis, I just hate this defoliating myth, its wrong and one of the dumbest ideas ever, in my day defoliating some young leaf, was removing the leaf, and flash drying it quick, and smoking it to estimate the effects, ..later.
I don't do that any more...don't have too, but still it cut back harvest on that particular limb by 1-2 months, FIM'ming I do, yes to improve bud sites and yield, on the 4th lateral, 2-3 weeks after germ ...not to be confused with a general stripping of leaves, then moaning to the membership that the plant has gotten severe nute burn with minimal leaves left, again dumb and dumber, and dumbest!
 
That's like cutting your arms and legs off then trying to walk I the kitchen and fix you some food.. im new to growing but I k ow better than thst it makes no logical sense. The will flower if they make it but be prepared to have tiny buds that are less that half as good as they could have been. I suggest taking some clones and hoping for the best.. if it hasn't been long since you massacred the plant use some of the parts u cut off and pray.
 
Not only are all of your plants going to die, but by defoliating the leaves you will also contract syphilis. No leaf has ever been lost from a plant in the history of time, so by removing leaves you might upset the space time continuum.

If I may so bold as to throw in another of the numerous analogies already in this post, if you defoliate a plant it's like taking the leaves off a plant and expecting it to grow with no leaves. Oh, wait a minute that's not an analogy is it!!

You have two options here now, you can either throw your plants away and start again or wait a few days for the leaves to grow back?

Either way your plants will smell like turnips and your buds will be octagonal.
 
Hes growing buds? I thought this is how you grow Thai stick. You know cut thev leaves off and grow a stick? Seriously though id r eyes and clone if u hope to salvage anything

I guess the op's plants will be dead by now? I forgot to mention that defoliation will also cause the forum to crash for a week!! See nothing good ever came from defoliation!!
 
I'm liking this new ignore button!! I can see that coming in very useful to block people who have never actually posted a picture of anything they've grown.

Chuck you have already seen the pics of Red and Blue, and that Red put on a growth spurt after being defoliated. Totally repudiating your claims about defoliation stunting growth and increasing veg time, and yet you still come back for more humiliation? What are you a masochist?

You argue from a position of inexperience, and your whole argument is based around economy. Yet when pointed out to you that soil growing and Autoflowers is less economical than others you don't seem to mind in the slightest?

You clearly have lot's of problems interacting socially with other people, so I'm just going back to ignoring you if that's ok?
