I'm Begining to think mh is way better than hps until the very end!

yeah, mh puts out less lumens that hps....400w mh ~ 36,000 lumens 400w hps~50,000 lumens, 1000W hps is like 150,000 lumens, 1000w mh is like 110,000 lumens. mh light may look brighter but that is because of the color spectrum, it is more of a blueish white light, hps is a more dull yellow/orange. get a superblue bulb or run one of each from start to finish to get the best light as you cover the spectrum.

Never tried flowering with my MH... From everything I have read the light spectrum that MH's give off is better for the veg state and HPS's light spectrum is better for flowering.

yep. you're correct. if you factor in how bright it is to the plant, HPS is even brighter.

I happen to veg and flower with my 1000 watt MH but it is brighter like they said....the spectrum is different...
I have had two excellent grows with mine but I use a sunmaster warm deluxe throughout the entire grow cycle.

My buds are awesome. Wish I could let you test some.

I have 4 lights 2 1000 hps & 2 1000 mh just lying around just fishing for thought . But they makinking me blind lol.Taking care of the girls I guess i look @ them too much. LOL

hps is brighter in lumnes and has the needed red spectrum to immitate fall sunlight to triger full flower meaning more bud and tigher buds.The mh may seem brighter to the humane eye as the blue spectrum is more easily percieved by the human eye but is much less intense.
