[QUOTE="Positivity, post: 10508609, member: 541027"]2' x 3.5' aluminum plate..plus probably pretty thick to set everything in the plate. 400w? I bet it gets pretty hot..
Nice design..although the lumen output is a little low at 34000 lumens

I can't say I'm 100% positive but the installation instructions are in inches, my Surexis are in inches, and they're from Texas, trust me they're using inches :). They probably only use the Celsius rating instead of Fahrenheit for marketing purposes. BTW I'm a believer they're really underspec'd just to sell more and the "you have to mount them x amount of inches away" is mostly BS, though if you're really trying to use the Scientific Method it's there if you follow their spec. So they're not completely greedy in my book :). At least the tech is there! Oh and from my experience with Illumis, they run pretty cool and that's their light extraction tech at work I bet. They just don't need to be run that hard to produce results I assume.

Edit- Bingo! Found it in the industrial brochure. Inches SDS.

And I forgot about this one. Another design I like.

Yeah SDS I agree those F1, F3 prices are good and are probably their best horti models under most conditions IMHO, though 730 on all the time seems to be overkill. The other ones not so much. They do have the F4,F5,F8 Abeos but they seem pricey. The AD 44s seem good too, but I gotta double check that. I don't really look at them for some reason. I always figured they were hard to cool. The kits are a ripoff though IMO :(. (And I can see the USD amount on the site btw). I can get the F3s with IDC, (I like 'em :)) for 200.00 USD + shipping so that's my baseline. Have you checked Mouser EU? I saw individual whites for sale on their site.

If you see the 730s for sale, give me a shout. I'm soooo close to ripping out the 730s on my old Vipar to do 13/11 but I want to keep it as a backup really. But there's sooooooo many 730s on it I can hear them calling to me, begging me to free them :) LOL.

And yes PF I'm aware Busta's Makin' Lumens sell 730s ;).

IDK about their old whites. Very underwhelming, but I still would want to see one before passing judgement.

The new ones are crazy though. 10 degree beam angles, or DD90 I believe :), with their diffuser. So a diffuse LED with a 10 degree beam angle. What?

LOL!

Hmm...
They seem to know 'something more'...
(This one is for greenhouse use ,right ?
Oris it just for general lighting ? )

Had one like those floods ,doing some night time construction works ..
Lasted about a year ...Good one ..LOL

The other was in the garden with a motion sensor built in ...
Lasted couple of months ...

Great investment there ....
You only lose ~$30...
Pretty honest ....
could you show me some flood light with motion sensor ?
