Ahh, gotcha, yeah bat guanos are not exactly environmentally friendly. I've heard seabird guano is a lil friendlier, but they have a higher nitrogen content than the phosphorus bat guanos (wanna say the seabird is like a 12/8/3 type of mix)
Have you had problems burning them if you add the rabbit poo directly to the soil without composting? I've never heard of people composting rabbit manure before, always thought it was "cool" enough. When i transplant into my flowering smartpots, I grind/mash up some alpaca poo into the earthworm castings/cricket castings, and then mix that into some vermifire with a bunch of mychorrizae. Haven't had any problems as long as I have a good 4-5 cms of regular soil to "buffer" the roots, they go crazy!
I've only used rabbit poo for I think 4-5 harvests, and I just added it directly to the soil, didn't add much though (maybe a palm-full for a 7-gallon smartpot)
Not sure what the NPK is for alpaca manure, but I from what I've read their digestive systems kinda compost it for us. Great stuff though, It's cheap too. Plus my pitbull LOVES alpacas, hilarious..
side note, you said you add their bedding also, I wonder what the NPK is on rabbit hair, I know hair has somewhat significant nutritional value(considering it's weight, I remember that from an old Rosenthal grow guide, just hard to get it to break down first.)

Rabbit poop is great, no doubt. I'm probably being overly-cautious, but my thinking is that the thermophilic composting will kill any pathogens that may be present. Unlikely considering we feed and care for the rabbits, and I'd know not to use it if they were sick. I re-use my soil for several cycles too, so I guess I just prefer to play it safe.

The bedding is mostly timothy & alfalfa hay, so it makes for great compost material due to it's nutrient value and the physical structure of it which allows air flow in to the pile/bin.

Absolutely understandable, I like your thought process. Good idea on the bedding too, probably great for drainage, micros, and aforementioned airflow.

I grew out 2 of the tangerine powers I got as freebies with my Sinmint Coookie order. The tangerines both turned out very citrusy, one a little more so then the other. The one with stronger flavor stayed smaller, and was picky about nutes, but produced tons of delicious resin. heres a pic of one from a couple weeks ago.
Thanks, TC.....I'm a bit more stoked about the 4 weeker in bloom. Bought two single fems to run one after the other. I'm hoping mine is the shorter "stronger flavor" one, as it's stout and smaller than the 3 other girlies in their dorm.

How far along when you harvested? ...and a capsule smoke report, por favor? Agent Orange, which I have yet to run, dangit, is often cited as a weaker TGA strain. The hybrid makes a ton of sense.

I ran some Sin's OG over the last year that out of 8 plants I got 2 with outrageous flavor. A friend of mine refered to it as a party in his mouth. I love the flavor it self, but I really like that it lasts till the end of the bowl. I've got other strains that taste good, but after a few hits, it just tastes alike a burned bowl. Not with the Sin's OG, or with the Dina Fem blue thai both are fantastic.
Thanks. This is the type of info I'm looking for.

I like vanilla kush and Cindy 99 right now, but that's fully organic and tastes amazing. If done in hydro they would be harsh as hell from all the chemicals. Don't know how Darth vostock can care so little about quality. I medicate too often to be smoking Shitty bud that's all harsh. Point is all depends on how you grow to affect taste. And some strains medical as they may be just lack flavor from the start. Hope this helps
The way you grow is definitely a large factor in the way the bud will taste.
I'm looking to cross, and stabilize a few strong medical quality strains that taste good from seed.

I only run organic, so I'm all about the taste/smells. I get friends in "the industry" that prefer to have me roll one of mine up than the commercial stuff they deal in, as my shiz is always super smelly/tasty, in another league, for them...a treat.

Among my favourites: DJ Short BB (the old cut, not his recent one...), TGA Subcool Plushberry, and the limited edition, THC-dom pheno of Mr. Nice/CBD Crew, Z7.

For dank smells, in general, by breeder, I'll always grab something from Mr. Nice, as Shantibaba knows his shit, and his genetics are always potent and always rock in the smell/taste department too.
Awesome. I'll definitely look into some Mr. Nice seeds.

they probably have you roll one because it's good and it's free :bigjoint: until I see published peer reviewed articles showing "organics" positively affect flavors and smells, and no offense as I'd prefer to grow organic if it's local and sustainable, it's bull shit claim. Plants don't care where they get the need nutrients, it's as long as they get them. can't forget a proper dry and cure (which I think is where most commercial growers go wrong if smells and taste are fucked, that or they grow shit genetics)
A lot of people do not know to flush there plants. If your ever smoking bud and it is harsh and crackling, that's probably because the grower didn't flush the crop.

Smoke report in a couple words..Tangerine power by SCS taken at 8 weeks..Sweet I would say tangerinish citrus taste, definitly not lemon or orange but definitely a tangy citrus, smooth smoke, nice high that put me to sleep more then one time. Definitely nighttime smoke in my book.

I'm not gonna open that can of worms on this thread, but I strongly suggest to all growers to experiment and try flushing and not flushing some plants, and then properly curing them and see what they think. I flushed for the first year or 2 I grew, then I did some experiments and learned it was pointless for me to flush. The key to a smooth burn and good flavor is the drying and curing.

The one I am smoking... I am 100% satisfied with my smoke... to the point that when others bring over bud to share...
I tell them thanks but no thanks... "Just enjoy mine... when you are over, we smoke my stuff..."

They all think I have some inside pipe line to some Cali special....
No, just refined, cured perfect, dried correct... harvested with max Tric's, of Cloudy...
My Clones... have been refined, and grown... I do not ever care to taste or smoke anything else....
For that would be a waste....

Growing is a craft... get better at it... never settle for ok...
Good better best....
Never let it rest.....
Until good is better...
And Better is Best....

BTW: Lemon /NY Diesel cross refined to the perfect pot...
Finishes in 7 weeks...
I could never ask for more...

So why are you still growing from seeds again? You need to get better at cloning....
Taste is subjective, and subject to "Taste" ...
What I think taste's the best... might make you gag, and vice versa....
You have valid points, and I agree with them.
I have no problems in the area of cloning. I love to smoke different buds. That's all. I have been working with gibberellic acid and fem clones. I want to create a new strain that has the qualities I desire in a good strong smoke.
Just a little project
for fun if you will

Don't be afraid to grow something new is what I say!

I have some
Sage 'N' Sour, and Akorn AKA Snowbud from TH Seeds.
Blue Mystic, form nirvana seeds
White Widow X Skunk #1
Iced Widow
Twilight from Dutch passion
Spineapple

Couldn't have said it better myself Thunder Cat! On point as per the usual, I see no scientific evidence for flushing and those last couple weeks of feeding can make a huge difference but I don't wanna derail either. My same statement about sommelier apply to flushing.

I offer no science, but I urge anyone using DWC to flush at the very least one week before cutting - unless you like your joints to be unburnable mini-chunks of coal.

Thanks, amigo. I should be able to work that into the cupboard rotation w/ no problemo. The rest of the dorm is also expected to be 8 weekers, heavy on the night smoke.

If you want some awesome day/any time smoke that fits a similar amount of flowering, I gotta suggest trying female seeds C99. Great genetics there, awesome upbeat high. I'm actually getting ready to smoke a blunt of C99 and the rest of my bluethai. Then its time to trim, several plants from a few days ago, and I've got 5 more ready to come down now. I might do those tomorrow though :).

Ha ! You and I are just crossing paths, amigo, but I've posted several recent posts praising FS C-99. Here's one:

My bodhi Lucky Charms pheno, has that exact same structure...This is the first time I ran clones of the pheno I liked, and the buds are kinda small, thought I screwed them up somehow, but perhaps that's just how it will be...Super sugary

It seems that with the extreme frost, high potancy, and killer flavor the buds don't always get big. That was the main reason I ran it a few times, and then let it pass. I have enough other things going, and so many more to try that I try to keep a balance in the garden of some seriously dank tasty stuff along with some stuff I know will yield alittle better. I love variety what can I say. I need to try some of the bodhi gear, I've read great stuff about it for years now.
